NEW Star Wars Teaser!!!!

Lucas destroyed the very thing he loved. And try as I might, I just can't get past it. He tainted his legacy because he couldn't leave well enough alone.

Han shot first, damn it! HAN SHOT FIRST!!

Oooh, Carrie Fisher...

she was so hot and now she sounds like a person who has had one to many cigarettes in her life

I'm going to go out on a limb and somewhat defend Lucas here.

Now, don't take that to mean I'm defending episodes 1-3. Not even a little. They're terrible in ways that cannot be enumerated in mere hours of explanation. But I kind of understand what happened with Lucas. And it sort of depresses me and makes me feel sorry for him.

Every single one of us got to see Star Wars. We went to a theater or popped in a VHS or DVD and watched Star Wars. We saw a kickass ship with some bigass engines fly across the screen, and then a GIANT SPACE WEDGE FILL THE WHOLE THING! We got to hear the breathing before we saw Vader. We got to see the laser sword ignite for the first time. We got to see the bad guys blow up a whole damned planet! We got to hear "I don't care what you smell, get in there you big hairy oaf" and not take it for a sex joke. We got to see Han come back at the last second, and Luke use the Force to blow up the impossible weapon.

Lucas never got to see that. I mean, sure, he's watched the movies, but when he watched the movies, he was seeing that damn shot that took us 4 days to block, and at the last minute, the Falcon model wouldn't stay on it's wire. He saw hours of going over each frame of the light saber with what amounts to a magic marker. He was watching the end result of an almost literal fist fight over the edit of the movie with the studio (the edit we saw wasn't the one he wanted to show us....)

He may be the only person on the planet who never got to see Star Wars as a fan. And because of that, he doesn't get why we love it so much. I truly think the person who understands the magic of Star Wars the least is the dude who gave it to us in the first place.

Kinda makes you glad he's gonna get to see a movie that he had nothing to do with, huh?

Personally, I think he's more narcissistic than that. I think for some reason he felt he could tell the dark side of the story, but still keep it on a Sesame Street level, to appeal to the kids who would still buy his toys. He just over-estimated his ability to tell the story.

Anybody ever wonder why Ben didn't change Luke's last name when he was a baby since they were trying to hide him from the Empire? He should have been Luke Lars.

But its different. He adds the "you have it" at the end.

Remember, at the end of RotJ, Anakin appears with Obi-Wan and Yoda as the sort of Force ghost. So it could easily still fit to use the present tense, because only those with a close and deep connection with the Force can pull off that trick.

I agree that Vader isn't alive, just pointing out that Luke is clearly talking to someone else in the trailer. Maybe his or Leia's kid.

I do find the appearance of Vader's charred head interesting. Makes you winder who collected it and why. Makes you wonder if there is some Vader cloning going on.

First? The other guy never even shot! Han is a murderer!
He wasn't a choir boy. That's why he's a bad ***. He damn sure wasn't going to let Greedo get the drop on him.

Also better than being a slime ball incestuous bastard like Luke.

Han used to be a pilot in the Imperial Navy. So there's that.

He's like the Vince McMahon of the movie industry.

Slimeball? They had what, one kiss in the entire trilogy, which came before they knew they were twins? Not exactly something I'd hold against him.

That said, Han is still the bigger badass. Not even close.

Luke would have kept it. Kylo may have stolen it from him. I'm betting Kylo was Luke's apprentice at one time.
