That point when your severance check goes through and you feel rich. Only to remember you still have to live off of that.

Fridays What Song is Stuck in Boxster's Head Contest

I heard it piped into the dentists office Tuesday and did an immediate "Oh, no!" and knew it was not the last time I was going to "hear" that tune this week.

Hints:

I heard it about one million times during a one week camping road trip to Colorado in the 1970's.

It's a solo.

It's something you would expect to get played every hour on the hour in Colorado or Nebraska. On an AM car radio. In an old Nova.

I HATED the song than. Not sure I hate it as much now and it does remind me of that trip.

Appropriate to yesterday's posts here, it does include a weather reference.

This is why it is beneficial to have a multi-generational team at Cy's House of Trivia. There will be some song/tv/movie category with some questions my dad will get without hesitation. In the same round there will be questions that my younger sister knows but no one else has a clue. Having people from 35-70+ yrs helps. We have 2 "old" guys, 2 engineers, a few of us with useless knowledge (a couple years ago we rocked the children's lit category since 3 of us were moms), one who knows some about sports. We have placed in the top 10 every yesr. This year we will let someone else win. ;) KC, hope you have a blast on Sat! Anyone else going?

There is a new CD the last week or too where I exercise. One singer makes me think of Billy Idol, which is weird since I only know one song of his.

Another song has a refrain that sounds like a swear word. One day an instructor asked the rest of us if she was hearing it right. Thankfully, someone knew the correct word....but it is still a pretty bad song.

I have no idea the age range of our team! We are fill-ins on an established team. One guy makes references to Flynn & Hicks so he goes back at least that far. Hearing Sage or Seneca or Troy would put him a little closer to us. ;) Guess I'll find out tomorrow night.

I agree that with large contests like this, it's best to have an eclectic mix of ages & interests...you can cover far more territory that way.

Tooting my horn here, but on our cruise last month, PapaLew & I, along with my two sisters and one BIL (the other is a poop) competed in the progressive trivia contest (cumulative score, played daily) and won. The prize was mountains of RCCL crap...hats, bags, luggage tags, pens, yadda yadda...and "gold" medals on blue ribbons to wear around our necks. :)
