Argh! Here I am, lying in bed, and now that spider pic comes up. Full body shivers. Yeeecccchhhhh!

Meteorologist on Rockford, Il NBC news called out the people who were complaining that they were missing their shows because of the storm coverage

John McLaughlin (sp?), the weatherman from KCCI, posted a picture on FB of an anonymous letter from someone complaining about weather coverage cutting into shows. The response to that letter was awesome.

It's called the internet, people. You can usually find your show the next day.

This is ultra rare for this area for a tornado of this scale. I live about 30-40 miles north of where this was. If I had been on this, I would have retired from chasing. Well I kind of have already, sort of, somewhat. Sad to see there is one person dead.

I do feel that sometimes they are talking just to be talking, and a screen crawl would be sufficient...
If they can't talk for five minutes without repeating themselves, maybe they don't need to be going full-on?

I'll have you know I maintained/lost weight this winter. And did a boot camp heavy on squats and lunges. I am proud of my butt right now, ha.

I've maintained weight. Trying to lose a little/gain muscle but it's hard as ****.

My gf just informed me that she would occasionally get on my profile and "spy" on me. Not sure how I feel about that.

Well, I know you a little, and I'm being serious on this.

I don't know her. You need to be careful with this. If you let her spy on you here, it could lead to text messaging and what not. That said, if you are too defensive, she'll think something is up. That said, she does know what Cyclone Fanatic is, right? This isn't a place to get girls. That's why I think this could be a test by her for later to look at your e-mails, texts, what not.

It's just strange, it's a red flag if a girl did something like that towards me, I wouldn't like it.

Anyways, having trouble sleeping, big day today

Don't know what's going on, but hope everything goes well!

Just realized that not only do I need to grocery shop tomorrow, but I need to get all our tailgating stuff together for Saturday.

Begs the question...are there ANY single women that post on here? There are plenty of young women (although I can't think of any I've run across that are still in college), but seems to me we're pretty much all married off...

yeah I don't know the last time one of this size has been around here. You have the Barneveld one 20 years ago and there was that big one waaaaaaaay further south in IL two falls ago. Brother's GF has a lot of family in that DeKalb area but so far sounds like they were missed.

I think even if there were, they wouldn't mention it out of fear of breaking their inbox from all the PM's.

Fridays What Song is Stuck in Boxster's Head Contest

I heard it piped into the dentists office Tuesday and did an immediate "Oh, no!" and knew it was not the last time I was going to "hear" that tune this week.

Hints:

I heard it about one million times during a one week camping road trip to Colorado in the 1970's.

It's a solo.

It's something you would expect to get played every hour on the hour in Colorado or Nebraska. On an AM car radio. In an old Nova.

I HATED the song than. Not sure I hate it as much now and it does remind me of that trip.

Appropriate to yesterday's posts here, it does include a weather reference.

Something by John Denver?

I had some commercial jingle stuck in my head before bed the other night.
