For mine we rented a shelter at one of the local parks and had HyVee cater?

Was relaxing, kids (and some that are "bigger kids" and Boxsterish at heart) all got to play at the park and was a nice experience.

For the record, I am not Pants' first wife. But this is what we did. We wanted Brookside but it was the 4th of July and the city uses the park.

I supposed having Hickory Park cater the wedding and rehearsal dinner may be a bit overkill, huh?

Yeah, probably.

I am still working on her to be my second or third though.

In a post that will probably interest no one except possibly Boxster, I just read that Pininfarina, an Italian styling house responsible for some of the most famous Ferrari designs, is in talks to get bought out by Mahindra, an Indian mega-company more known for low end cars.

And even beyond autopilot, I believe the terrain collision avoidance systems can take control even if autopilot is off, depending on the age of the aircraft and avionics, but an airplane buff like WX or Boxster would have to confirm.

I do not know of any TAWS (Terrain Alert Warning System) that would take over and fly. To my knowledge they simply give a verbal alert to the distance of the terrain.

Modern avionics systems such as Rockwell Collins Pro Line and Garmin's G series can include synthetic vision which "paints" the terrain on the screen for the pilot. For example if you are flying through a mountain pass it will show the terrain around you. If it is green you will fly over it, yellow is cutting it close and red..well you want to make a flight path change.

It is also pretty cool that I can now get this on my electronic flight bag (EFB) application that I use on my ipad called ForeFlight.

Disturbing!

BTW, I take a few hours to watch a movie, drink some wine and feed the alien some salmon and I am 80 posts behind.

Hey, KC, you might be right about the alien.

This is the 2nd time you have posted this. I resisted the first time but can't do it twice.

So:

You should be thankful I don't post but half of what pops into my free association brain.

I was expecting some names with the faces--Boxter, 00, Pantsy--who else? And the movie needs some women. :)

Maybe eating the equivalent of 2 cups of coffee in chocolate covered expresso beans at 9:30pm wasn't a great idea. Not sleepy.

Clearly I'm Kirk Douglas because he's the best looking of the group.

Sorry guys.

Just to be clear, I don't want to be Peter Lorre.

I do love me some chocolate covered coffee beans but if KC is right about the alien it would be a very bad idea.
