Weirdest weather experience: Late 90's, early June, hot, sunny day where the atmosphere is just cooking, and you know we're going to get some good thunderstorms that evening. I get to the radio station I was working at around 5:45. I'm expecting that a tornado watch has been issued for our county, but nope. Not even a t-storm watch. We kept getting calls from listeners asking if there was one. Still no. During a break, the news reporter, who was a trained spotter, and myself go out to the parking lot to look at the sky, which was quite green. She points right over us and says "Look. Rotation." I then felt a hot blast of air to my front, a cold blast (like A/C) to my back, hot to the front, cold to the back again. I said "I'm going inside."
Can't remember if a watch or warning was ever issued that day.
