Right...plus I just looked at their menu...didn't see any dinner below $20...I mean, not that I wouldn't pay that for a good dinner, but for a large party...

oh ha, we never got far enough to actually look at prices! Just mentioned it driving back from Dubuque a couple times. Ha, yeah I was going for cheap for the rehearsal.

Only the best.

holy cats, that flight crash from yesterday just got super weird. One pilot was locked out trying to bang the door down. DH said maybe a heart attack? I was wondering why it wouldn't have just stayed on autopilot then?

Bought a new Blu-Ray player Monday and got looking thru the extra streaming channels that are on it...watched the "Outside" channel for a bit (looks like it's related to Outside magazine, same logo). They had several short shows about women rock climbers. Now, admittedly athletic/trim girls are my type anyway, but watching these women rock climb had my undivided attention for nearly an hour. Of course, the first show with two of them climbing in bikinis helped get me hooked....

Weirdest weather experience: Late 90's, early June, hot, sunny day where the atmosphere is just cooking, and you know we're going to get some good thunderstorms that evening. I get to the radio station I was working at around 5:45. I'm expecting that a tornado watch has been issued for our county, but nope. Not even a t-storm watch. We kept getting calls from listeners asking if there was one. Still no. During a break, the news reporter, who was a trained spotter, and myself go out to the parking lot to look at the sky, which was quite green. She points right over us and says "Look. Rotation." I then felt a hot blast of air to my front, a cold blast (like A/C) to my back, hot to the front, cold to the back again. I said "I'm going inside."

Can't remember if a watch or warning was ever issued that day.

And even beyond autopilot, I believe the terrain collision avoidance systems can take control even if autopilot is off, depending on the age of the aircraft and avionics, but an airplane buff like WX or Boxster would have to confirm.

Are you sure that wasn't paranormal activity?
