He would proooooooooobably remember on his own, because our wedding anniversary is the same day of the month and he purposefully proposed a couple weeks earlier in March so I wouldn't be expecting it as much. But he also forgets his mom's birthday pretty much every year even though it's only a week or so after my dad's. Every year on my dad's bday I'm like, your mom's is next week. Don't forget. Put an event in your phone calendar so SIL doesn't text you telling you that you forgot. He never does.
uck, think all the shoulder work last night is giving me a headache today. This is such a busy week and the next three will be more of the same. Blarg. See how much I can get done by gametime.
Hmm, maybe basketball cookies. Although after celebrating 3 family birthdays in 2 weeks I swore off sweets for awhile. I did tell hubby maybe we would come down to his work and watch the game on his big screen.

Poop! Some time back I had just received bad news that we had a bid protest that totally screwed up a big contract award. Rather than "Oh, ****" or "****" or "GD" I said "Ah, poop". Contracting office popped her head out of her cubicle and asked "Did you just say poop?". Me, "Yup". Than she did a LOL. I had been around kids the previous weekend and still had the Uncle Boxstercy language filter on.
Gotta be honest...I'm enjoying the prospect of having an ISU game on when everyone else is at work instead of when I'm at work.
Is anyone else getting a bit tired of the schädenfreude type threads people are posting about KU? To me, it's like saying "Yay, we won!...YOU LOST!!!!" instead of just "Yay, we won!" It feels like we're revelling more in KU's angst than in our victory. Maybe not angst...more like what KU is saying to console their losing the conference tournament a second time in a row.
If I'm way off base, let me know. I'm all about beating the best, and would like to see Wichita State beat them in the second round. But what I've been seeing on the board seems overkill.

For once the time zone thing worked for me, because I can watch the game before work.
I don't think you're off base, but I think part of it is how we've kind of endured the more annoying parts of KU's fanbase for a while in these parts (and I think the resurgence of the vitriol is probably tied to a certain poster's return, and the multiple comments about how it the Big 12 tourney didn't mean that much to them...it clearly did).
It's also kind of like Iowa....which fits better for me in my location. I am in Iowa country, and deal with Iowa fans on a daily basis, some of them complete arsewagons (although, they tend to be a little more silent during the past few basketball seasons)...but I've learned over time that an eye for an eye makes everyone blind, or another way...being a jerk in response to someone else being a jerk still means you're being a jerk. And I'm FAR from perfect on that, but I try to keep it in perspective...work in progress. I recall the talk of Fred being in an ESPN commercial when it was said he was working with a choreographer before that commercial came out, and some said how they hoped it'd be making fun of Iowa in some way, and I'm like...it's national media, let's toot our own horn instead of giving Iowa attention on a national stage.
I don't want to hit on my future wife today, but I don't want to be responsible for an Iowa State loss.
