Wait, so the favors don't have to be something they take home? (I told the fiancee these kind of details are up to her because I know little to nothing about them, but if I can come up with something, I will.) I much rather spend money on something like a candy buffet or ice cream machines than on stuff that has a good chance of being thrown away. As Die4cy said, something unique from what people get these days. I like the sound of that.

Traditionally, the are. So the candy buffet would be set up with little doggie bags to put in candies that you like. But it's your wedding. I for one, would take ice cream cones over m&ms.........

A wedding the fiancee and I went to about a year ago had a candy buffet, and it was a hit. I never realized that fell under the wedding favors category.

I'm quickly learning wedding favors really can be just about anything.

Just put a little sign near whatever you choose and say something like "thank you for celebrating this day with us!" Then people will realize it's the favor.

we did that for when we left the church after the ceremony. Made those pictures look really pretty.

We did bubbles leaving the church, too. The pics were neat. And how bad is it that I don't remember if we had any other favors. We wanted to leave the reception to people holding sparklers (it was the 5th of July) but Scheman confiscated them from us as a fire hazard.
