NCAA Tickets for Des Moines

Not sure, all I know is that I got the email and I'm a Cyclone Club member, football season ticket holder, but NOT a bball season ticket holder.

When I watch some of the first rounds on TV attendance really hasn't blown me away. I would have to think WFA will fill it up though.

The first ever NCAA tournament visit in downtown Des Moines on St. Paddy's Day? I think it'll be gangbusters.

There are a TON of tickets for the Omaha section on stubhub. Hopefully we all didn't just get burned with expensive tickets that we can't sell.

Looks like just 1 session is about $350 for lowers though. And we could get all sessions for $270.

You sure you're looking at the right thing? I saw all-sessions tickets in upper corners starting around $340.

First session lowers are in the $300's about a $1k for all session.

I meant we can get $270 for all session lowers in Des Moines for 2016 if you bought today.

You were right and I was wrong about Stubhub. But to the question I quoted here, I don't think it's known that the $270 prices are for lowers, is it? It's the best available seat being offered now but I don't think we know what that is.

Feels a little less than forthright that we don't know how the rest of this ticket process plays out - what seats will be on sale when and to whom. It's a bit of a leap of faith here, though as I said earlier I think this event will do very well in DSM.

When the teams are announced this will influence the ticket prices a ton, should be a great investment.

I agree. Unless ISU plays somewhat close to home, I probably won't flip mine, I'd like to see something like this live in my life at probably the cheapest I ever could.

And if ISU ends up playing at the same time as one of the Des Moines games, sell your tickets for that session only and you're likely to earn back a good chunk of what you spent for the entire thing.

just learned the NCAA doesn't allow beer sales during championship events. roo-roh

I saw this post moments after I hit 'send' on my ticket order. Oh well, plenty of opportunities to drink cheaper beer in downtown Des Moines. And pray for change between now and next March.

" No exit and reentry to the facility will be permitted."

I would assume this means during games, not in between games. No way someone could't come and go during FOUR games of basketball.

I assume it means during sessions of two games apiece. I can't recall exact times but I think typically there's a day session, then an evening session. So you would have to leave in between the two Thursday sessions.

I wish I'd thought of this before I bought but in the end it wouldn't have changed my mind.

Each session is usually 2 games. You probably can't leave during each session. That's when you pound down a few beers before each session then go in.

If its like B12 tourney, they bundle two games.

When anyone ordered did you see the section, seat, row information. I ordered but that info wasn't displayed. Can't believe there wasn't something said about this ahead of time.

It was in there somewhere, maybe in the original email that went out. Seat locations aren't known until October.
