All this talk about history classes. Never took any. Back than we just lived the history you all are studying.

BTW, I may be the only person to ever start at ISU and graduate from ISU without passing Speech 211 or whatever the required equivalent is today. Kinda complicated but short version is I took advantage of a typo in the catalog printed one year for landscape architect BS requirements. It didn't have 211 listed, just "3 credits speech" so I immediately signed up for a speech course on cinematography (pass-fail of course). Maybe they don't require that anymore but back in the day all advisers would parrot "NO ONE LEAVES ISU WITH A DEGREE WITHOUT 211!"

I once knew a guy who tried to set me up for a 211, then he ****ed around and got caught up in a 187.

(fully expect that no one gets that joke/reference, but I'ma stick with it, I'll be the one guy laughing at my own joke)

I graduated without taking Library 110.

Cereal two nights in a row for the youngest two. Winning at motherhood! :) When hubby is home we have an actual meal every night. Daddy's gone? Break out the cereal!

Sounds like the roles are reverse in your relationship/household. :jimlad:

I do 97% of cooking and meal planning so when I don't have to feel people (aka hubby), I tend to slack off. ;) That and last night we had about 1/2hrnat home before we had to go to church and tonight I have to leave in a few minutes to pick older kids up from respective activities and we won't get back home until after 8pm.

Funniest typo of the week, right there.

According to the generations thread it would not be safe for me to ever meet some of the young angry people on CF. Think they would be more than happy to just beat me senseless because I was born in the 1950's. Wow, lot of anger and hate over there.

I haven't ventured in there yet but my parents were born in the 50's so I couldn't do that to you. ;)

I've been watching it but have chosen to stay out of it. There are a lot of generalizations going on over there...

Brought baby home today. I definitely had a "holy **** they actually trust me with this thing" moment.

Congrats on getting baby home. Babies aren't as fragile as you think you'll do great. My theory on handling other peoples babies was when it is their 1st one don't hardly handle it at all because you aren't doing it right. 2nd kid on out lots easier to handle. Those commercials about the parent and the 1st kid vs, 3rd kid are kind of true. Have fun being a new dad.

Thanks. I don't know what I am doing so I am not critical of others.

In other news I had a recruiter contact me about a job I applied for. They wanted to make sure I knew where the job was since it will require us to relocate. I wanted to say "in an effort to prove my brilliance I am only applying for jobs in cities we want to be in." Instead I stuck with the "yes we know where it is and are willing to move there."

I learned all about how to hold babies from Grace Slick.

The football section is getting stupid again. I missed the people that talk about how close we were to a bowl, how Rhoads is still taking us in the right direction, and how we all must fully commit to the coaches or we are setting the team up for a bad year. I don't mind optimism when it's needed, but this is full on sunshine pumper **** and I'm happy it's back.

Except for the self destruct button on the top of their heads!
