A Kindergarten teacher in Ankeny was caught with a six pack of beer in the classroom. 2 empty already.
WHAT THE FRESH ****?!?!
so DH's oil pressure light came on last night and we're hoping his car will make it to 2016 before we need to replace it. We were talking about what we would get instead and he thought we would be getting a minivan. I'm like DH, we don't even have a child. We could only even have one child by the end of next year. Why would you want a minivan? I had been thinking something like the Honda CRV or similar crossover that could handle one kid easily and two snugly. Save on gas mileage for as long as we can. He said a minivan would be good for hauling house stuff too and can easily fit more kids. I had thought we would hold off on that until replacing my car in (hopefully) like 5+ years. And then we'd have a minivan and a crossover. He's like but then we'll have no small car. Well, if we have multiple kids, we probably want two vehicles that can hold them.
Does it seem odd to anyone else to get a minivan when you have no kids yet?
I'd probably drink too if I taught 5 year olds all day.

I understand the stress. She's teaching them or at least trying to get them to follow instructions and might be giving them 'hard' rules and consequences for the first time. That doesn't mean she should drink while doing it though.... ugh.
I originally wanted to be a kindergarten teacher then changed my mind.

Only a little, but if you are hauling things around a lot it would make sense. Personally I am hoping to never get a mini van. I would just hope that you could find three car seats that would fit together.

I mean, I haven't owned a house yet, but I'm having trouble seeing that we're going to be hauling so much stuff around all the time that a minivan makes sense right now. I think a crossover that has hide-able seats would work. I'm just looking and the new Nissan Rogue has an optional third row and both 2nd and optional 3rd row fold down. I feel like that would be a great option. He had mentioned did you see all the stuff nieces got at Christmas? That's why we need a mini-van. I'm like no. No, I don't now want to haul that many toys back to our house! We are not getting a car based on the ridiculous amounts of gift giving that happen!
