400#'ers in the back seat and trunk, and the even bigger one had to stay behind....sounds like a typical Saturday night at bartime for Stormchaser

Funny story out of Wisconsin
On an actual serious note about manliness...on Tuesday night some of the gals at work were talking about the 50 Shades of Grey movie and asked if Mrs. 00clone would be going to it. I said that I didn't think so, she wasn't into that stuff, and after all, she got me at home, she don't need that stuff. They were all rolling eyes and "Yeah, that's what you say", and I kept insisting.
So Wednesday is our morning alone (kids go to school all day and she doesn't have to work until noon), so we talked about it, she agreed she isn't into that whole thing, then we had a wonderful morning by ourselves.
I went back last night and talked to the girls, told them that Mrs. agreed on not being interested in that, and of course, they were all "well, that's what she tells you"...then I said, no, let me explain how it works at our house, and I outlined all of the ways that I honored and served her yesterday morning (took care of X so she could get Y done, had lunch ready so we could eat together and still get her to work at noon, started her car when I took out some recycling so it would be warm for her when she left for work, etc.), and said...that's what I mean...she's got me doing those things, she doesn't need mommy porn to get her motor going...I think they got it after that.
Heard on the radio this morning that it's National Weatherpersons' Day today, so to all of our random wx friends, happy Weatherperson's Day.

News release:
In Honor of our hard working Weatherpersons, we would like to predict February 5th as National Weatherperson's Day...in a tribute to their hard work and predictions, the actual festivities will occur on February 6th, and will be much less of a big deal than originally predicted

I guess I really don't understand the whole grey thing. Then again, I've never really been into bodice-busters (romance novels with Favio-esque half naked men on the cover...).
And like I said - if you know me at all through my posts, I'm not really big on gender roles and I tried to raise my kids right now. Since one is now a single dad with a son 8 and a daughter 7, it's a good thing I did.![]()

At 2:50PM? In Wisconsin?
Never mind, I'm not sure where I was going with that
Was this the story of DH and Cowgirls 1st date?
You're telling me Screech wasn't invited to make an appearance?
Another person in my office just got canned. This wasn't a big surprise, though. It turns out that you actually have to show up to work to stay employed. He had missed 10 days since New Years.
That, and the owner is on an unusually prolonged mean streak lately.
Hey, Wxman...here's your opening!
ha, yeah the more you said the more I was thinking yeah, definitely drunk then. Who the hell tries to put a cow in the trunk of their car?!
Although....I walk a fine line, too....although I'm not big on gender specific roles...I do believe we have to be careful to recognize and celebrate the differences between genders. To go back to my 'man color' statement, one of the less controversial ones is that women are (generally) demonstrably better at distinguishing between minute color differences. That doesn't mean that men or women are better or worse because of that, but I also don't think we do ourselves any service by denying or covering up those differences.
