oh really? That's good to know. Not that we wouldn't use it with a house and all, but maybe I'll just go for the 5% then and not worry about the sale.

Yeah, the 11% is always a store credit. We get the dog food there (I know, right...dog food at Menard's...but he's allergic to wheat, and they have a brand that's wheat free and not ridiculously expensive....sucks that we have to drive 3/4 of the way across Johnson County to get it, but it works) so we always have to remember to take the coupon with.

and this shows how often I shop at Menard's. But thanks, I didn't know that.

The Menards thing is a joke. 11% off is a joke. The exception being something very specific you need like the dog food you mention.

Anything under 15% is not a sale and 15-20% is only "sale" in small letters. You have to be into the 25% off to have a capital letter SALE. You can bold SALE only if more than 25% off. There are rules, man.

But, since wxman brought up my meat...over the weekend, I was vacuum bagging 10# each of ground beef, ground pork, brats, and Iowa Chops that Fareway had on sale last week, and Mrs. 00clone asked if there was more beef sticks in the freezer, she couldn't find any. I agreed that there didn't seem to be any, gifts and get togethers over the holidays used them pretty well up, so I kept out 7# of ground beef and 3 of pork, mixed them up with the spices, and they're sitting in the fridge waiting for stuffing/smoking. Hopefully Wednesday...snowstorm duties took today outta the mix, tomorrow a favor for a friend will prevent it. Wednesday I may have to send the wife to school with the kids to get them going before she gets home for wild Wednesdays <wink>. Or...maybe I'll just wait until Thursday....

That's when you tell her you're out of those beer sticks, but you have a special one waiting for her.

Talk about a missed opportunity.

anybody know how Menard's does their 11% off sales? Says we should order light fixtures the last week of March. We get 5% off on home type stores starting April 1st. But if I'm going to push that deadline, that means I need one of those 11% sales right at the beginning of April. Hmmm. I think we are mostly looking at Home Depot stuff anyway, but that will still need to be 4/1 for the extra monies. I think as long as we aren't doing crazy things like trying to order something from out of the country, it should be fine. Planning on just getting in store right now.

Was this a soliloquy or something?

Could Blazing Saddles even be made today? Most people I know that have seen it think it's funny, but would it survive the PC censors of today?

My hubby is of mainly Polish decent. Can't tell you how many times the "Polish sausage" innuendo has been used in the last 20 yrs. As a wife, it sometimes gets old. :p Just assume she already implied that line of thinking. We know how you guys work.

Can you smoke Polish Sausage? If so, that would be about half of my jokes.
