Random thoughts III

This is the only thread I'll be reading and posting in tonight.

I was just thinking it's going to be a scary world out there this evening. And I'm going to hang out with Wisky people. Luckily, even though both DH and I went there and they are all relatives actually.........they probably still don't remember that ISU exists or is sometimes good at basketball.

I am planning on trying out my new electric wine opener tonight, but since I am the only adult home in charge of three children left at home I won't be going all Rum Brooklyn/Wine Birdy. Big plans tonight. Homemade pizza and movie night--The Box Trolls.

Hey, I'm home alone with the two boys (Mrs. is doing group therapy over girly drinks for a friend having marriage prollems). Let's both get silly and liven this place up tonight! Been getting old and boring in herr....I got a head start, though...on beer #2.

My hubby and oldest are actually in IC tonight/tomorrow. I'm a little worried since he has ISU plates.

i gotta try and catch up, still haven't cracked the wine open yet

They'll be fine, my wife parked downtown with an ISU frame for years and I see cyclone plates regularly.

Get it flowing...you really haven't tested the wine opener until the second bottle. One is not a large enough sample size. If you don't believe me, just ask Boxster, he's the wine expert.

Although, I'll give you a bit of a pass, Mrs. will be home later, and she's about 5 blocks away, so even if something happened and I was too intoxicated to drive, I could call...you're really on your own.

(and yes, Mrs. is such a goody-two-shoes that her at the bar with friends and not driving is less likely to get over .08 than I am at home with the kids)

what's CAH?
I haven't been around the random thoughts threads enough to understand all the lingo that gets referenced.

I don't know what CAH means.

Hell, I'm trying to figure out what cowgirl means when she refers to "DH," but I've been to bashful to ask.

send them to bed early!

I kid, I kid. We talked more with the builder today and looks like we can have the siding color we want after all. Also got to meet two of the couples on our street. One's house is just done framing, one got done last summer. Both are very nice and seemed super friendly with the builder, so it all seemed like good signs!

Cards Againsy Humanity. She doesn't play strip CAH though, so I don't understand the fun of it.

Ahh...yeah, heard of it, but didn't get da acronym....

birdy....revising my earlier proposal....with the cold I'm fighting and the little one with an ear infection, realized there's no way I'm having another beer tonight. I'll be lucky to make it awake until Mrs. comes home.

it's standard forum lingo for "dear husband". I've seen it used for dear son/daughter as well. It's really cause typing husband or Mr. Cowgirl all the time is annoying.

"dear husband" or similar. I refer to mine as PapaLew because that's his user name on here. Others use Mrs.00 or Mrs wxman, but CG (cowgirl) follows her own path.

Here I was worried to ask because I thought it might stand for "divorced husband", and I was to fearful to ask.

Darn it, 00--tell her she needs a night out.

Good news? Got the wine open, almost ready for another glass.
Bad news? We were going to watch a movie on Dish with a free certificate we had. Try to log in to our account and neither of the saved usernames/passwords in our identity safe work. Requested a new password. "This may take up to 15min" Still haven't seen an email.

Well, I'm kind of glad she's home early, means the friend with troubles at home didn't have that much to talk about. Last I heard was 'she has to start thinking about if it doesn't work out'.
