ISU 74-72 WVU

It sure is nice when guys like Hogue or Nader step up with 15+ when our top guys struggle a bit.

I must have been watching a different game than you. There were some missed/bad calls, but equally for both teams, imo.

I didn't think the refs had any impact on the outcome.

I agree with you. There was actually a stretch of about 3 straight close calls that I thought we were lucky to get. One of which was a no-call that would have been Monte's 4th foul.

Either way, great win!

A dirty little secret was revealed in this game, we are physical, difference between this and the other "physical" games was we made a few shots (50%) and were clutch at the line for the most part.

They were in the double bonus with 12 minutes to go!
Officiating was inconsistent. Seemed like they would let them play and then call tik tak fouls. Can't really complain though.
Such a gratifying win in a slugfest on the road.

I hate watching games we play at WVU, and this one the most frustrating one since they joined the Big XII. They do play tenacious D, but they also slap, bump, push and go over the back with contact the entire game. Like holding in the NFL, if the refs called every foul that actually occurred it would be impossible to watch.

Happy to get out of there with a W, and glad we don't have to go back for another year.

Just think how many boos there will be in Hilton if the game there is officiated like tonights? Didn't help to have Paul J. out there hobbling down the court.

When Morris fouled out, I thought, "We're toast." But found a way to win it.

WVU suddenly going cold from FT line helped, even if ISU wasn't securing the rebounds (and meanwhile, Nader sank four straight, Niang 1 of 2).
