500th Win at Hilton

10 by my count. Larry's first 3 years were 12-3, 18-0 and 16-0.

34-0 at Hilton over two years as a starting PG...let's give that to MM as one of his personal goals to try to beat :-)

As Boxster said there was some BAD bb before Johnny came. Johnny set things up pretty well for those who followed, and now we are seeing some of the best teams coming thru Hilton thanks Fred. Johnny's teams were awesome at home but rough on the road. Looking forward to being there for #500.

This is true for most of the legendary Big 8 coaches. If you go back and look at league records for the Johnny years. In the 14 game schedule KU would typically have 2-4 losses and everyone else would have around a .500 record. Everyone pretty much won at home and lost on the road, you would have 3-5 teams with 6 - 9 wins typically.

Hilton losses in the Hoiberg era.

2010-2011:

Cal (76-73)
Kansas (84-79)
Texas Tech (92-83)
Oklahoma (82-76, OT)
Kansas State (86-85)
Missouri (76-70)

2011-2012:
UNI (69-62)
Missouri (76-69)

2012-2013:
Kansas* (108-96, OT)

2013-2014:
Kansas (77-70)

Hoiberg's 100th win is coming up soon too. I believe against MVSU or South Carolina.

16-16
23-11
23-12
28-8
8-1

Hoiberg is 98-48 as head coach, so a win over Drake would set up the MVSU game on 12/31 in Hilton as his shot at win #100.

If my memory is correct, six of those losses were of Fred's first year? I know he has only lost one home game each of the last two years (Kansas), and I believe two in his second year (UNI and Mizzou)

That's what i meant by what Mcd left him comment. Was reffering to Fred's first year.

If each of those milestones is in the balance on the same night, vs. that opponent, it ought to reach free-for-all phase before halftime.

This is how bad MVSU is

Honestly, I have no idea how good/bad the Delta Devils are. Three years ago I had the same impression. 1 for whatever coming in. Terrible record, terrible team. But they put up a hell of a fight against us, then went on a tear in their conference to make the tourney. Just sayin'...

MVSU is just below Southern this year, both in the bottom 15 according to KenPom. Of course, Southern played is tough as well.

We are the highest (and only) ranked team on MVSU's schedule as of today, so of course we will be their super bowl. They will play out of their minds and hit 14/15 3's.

And we will win by 10.

They are a horrid defensive team, giving up almost 50% of their opponents missed shots as offensive rebounds and giving up almost 60% EFG%. They've given up 100 4 times, to Indiana, TCU, Tulane and Northwestern.
