Well, and I'm not sure if you're actually referring to it, but the swastika was co-opted as well. I think the bars on the end went the other way, but wasn't it like a good luck symbol or something?
Completely agree, but I don't get my tattoos for anyone other than myself. If someone wants to (innocently and understandably) mistake it for something else, it's fine and I don't worry about it. Plus it's not like there's a heavily bad connotation with Christianity. Maybe some of the people that claim to be, but not the religion itself, unlike the swastika which was perverted into completely evil ideals.
Plus, if you're going to date someone solely based off one of their tattoos without actually talking to them about your belief, that's on you.
I thought it was Native American? But that could have easily been young Pants not recognizing the difference between Indian and indian.
Because it was already the symbol for vagina? Which is pretty much the symbol for power already.
Mini rant: That's twice now that Admire has referred to tomorrow's game as our "biggest game of the year". Really? Doesn't even come CLOSE to beating KU in my mind. Or Texas. Or OSU. Or Oklahoma. Or Baylor.

No the KU game is easily the biggest game we play. Students waited in line for days just to get a ticket. The atmosphere is insane and it's worth spending a +$100 to go to.
Speaking of tattoos I have thought about getting one, maybe wings or something. Then I remember I am cheap...
Very true. I usually trust Keith Murphy's hires because he hired Andy Fales and Hassel, two home runs IMO. I guess he's the same guy that hired John Sears and that Telly guy, though.
I suggested a drunken late night happy hour where everyone drinks to excess and than gets an ISU tattoo as an Alumni Association event. No one thought it was a good idea. Killjoys.
