Obviously a very special player. But, what was so special about him that this program has been a nosedive coinciding with the moment he could no longer play for us? Thoughts? If he isn't picked up in the NFL I would be VERY interested in bringing him on somewhere to try to recapture whatever it is that he has.

Only way I would see that happening is if Rhoads is kept around. I doubt Jake would come back with a new coach in town.
 
Luke Knott is our only defensive player that can single handedly tackle a player. Everyone else depends on gang tackles or the guy is gone
 
What I'm trying to figure out is how one guy's ability affected every other position on the field. Klein was great too, but the defense was terrible with Klein and no Knott.
 
He didn't except being average. That is currently the mentality of this program.

Well that's because teams would run their plays opposite of Klein's side. Not much he could do about it.
