and gesell scored more points, averaged more assists, and led the conference in assist to turnover ratio in 5 less minutes per game with less talent around him. i was going to ask what your point is, but i know your point is to be annoying and not know anything about sports or logic. ive never said gesell is better, but you are nuts if you think anyone outside of ames or flint sees the huge advantage that you do.

I wonder if Dana O'Neil and C.L. Brown are from Flint or Ames?

I always find it interesting that when you ask Hok fans what the **** they are doing spending all their time at CF, all you hear is crickets. I can tell you that I wouldn't spend one minute at my rivals' website, but that is what happens when they become obsessed with us. Who's Super Bowl is it?

If you really want to make Iowa look bad, pull up each of their sport team's finish in the Big 10 last year. Across the conference, they're the worst athletic department.

Is Iowa an elite athletic program? No
Is Iowa "the worst athletic department"? No

I like to linger on both Cyfan and 247sports (not HawkeyeNation... god). This kind of attitude about the other school is seen on both sides of the fence, and it really makes both fan bases look dumb.

Most of the games (across all sports) between these schools are usually competitive and good games even when one or both teams are down. IMO this rivalry would be more respected if the opposing fan bases didn't consistently bash the others legitimacy as a good team or athletic department. Just a thought.

Yes this is my first post, and I didn't bash Iowa so clearly I am a troll.

Is Iowa the worst athletic department in the B1G and worse than us? Yes. That's all that really matters in my eyes

I always find it interesting that when you ask Hok fans what the **** they are doing spending all their time at CF, all you hear is crickets. I can tell you that I wouldn't spend one minute at my rivals' website, but that is what happens when they become obsessed with us. Who's Super Bowl is it?

I'm an Iowa fan. I'm also an ISU fan. We do exist. I cheer for ISU to win every game that isn't against Iowa. The teams are in different conferences, and outside of a couple days a year the other team really doesn't matter. I spend time here for the same reason you do - interest is ISU athletics.

As for the superbowl question... Both fan bases use this. The superbowl or championship is the ultimate goal for every team in every sport. Simple answer, both teams would voluntarily lose this game every year if it meant conference championships. It's the superbowl to fans, just so they can act superior to the other for a year.

That's an opinion, your opinion in fact. All that really matters in your eyes is your opinion?

That's awesome.

Sorry if we're talking facts Iowa is the second worst team in the B1G (thank Rutgers for joining) and still worse than ISU.

Not at all. Trolling is the intent and tone of your e-mails. There are posters here who like both schools or are solely Iowa fans. Many of them aren't called trolls since they don't troll in their posts. If you keep a rational head, stick with facts (or state your opinions as opinions), and be respectful, you'll be okay to most people here. I don't feel you trolled in your post.

As for the standings comment, I thought someone here proved by looking at Iowa's Big 10 finishes (using all sports). Also, they came in last in Director's Cup vs their Big 10 peers last year (before Rutgers joined.)

It's the superbowl to fans, just so they can act superior to the other for a year.

That isn't necessarily the case for a lot of ISU fans. They want to win matchups with Iowa not so they can lord over their acquaintances who are iowa fans but rather so they don't have to put up with asshat iowa fan acquaintances who feel the need to act superior to Cyclone fans for 365 days after an iowa win. Most times I don't bring up anything to do with the results of Cy-Hawk games until my iowa friends and relatives bring it up first.
