OK, at the risk of vaguebooking, I might be getting some good news as far as my job goes, but I don't want to mention, since it might not happen, but let's say I could use some good vibes coming my way.

I'll send them your way, if you send them my way. I, too, may be getting some good news as far as my job search goes, but I also don't want to mention anything, since I don't know for sure that it will happen.

Best of luck, man!

Vibing for both of you!

First day of class observations:

Pretty sure I heard a girl ask where the library was
Some girl dropped her ID
Didnt notice too many freshmen until I was on the bus heading back to my apartment

Count stands at 22 today for number of people stopping at my door to ask directions...

is it ever appropriate to tell someone they need to proofread their emails before sending? Maybe they only do this on emails to me, but I worry that they send emails to customers/higher-ups with the same glaring grammatical errors.

No, it's real.

I've been made privy the names of the Teletubby girls and it turns out at least one graduated and no longer lives in Ames. We were 1-0 with them. I was really kind of banking on that for the optimism of this season.

Damn you.

It's always appropriate. It's just a matter of if it's done with tact or not.

YES! I called out our HR department because their company wide communication seemed like it was typed by a 7th grader.

You'd be doing them a favor

my hesitation is two-fold - I have no idea how to even phrase it since I am not their boss and I'm not sure they'd take it well from me - Secondly, I have this feeling that they would reply with "yep, will work on it" and it will just stay the same because they are just not very detail-oriented. Or that they don't realize some of the things they use are incorrect.

The disinterested one?
