Travis Beck is an OLB beast. He is a tough SOB from the farm and he will match up with bibbs. He can actually fly too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gi2A5apBHC8

Bibbs the best TE in the Big 12 no 1aa matching up with him.

Your only hope is Richardson crapping the bed and Rhoads not making the switch early letting NDSU get out and play from a lead. Im really not sure the right QB was named Richardson has been horrible any time he has faced adversity but great against lesser opponents. I think its the right call and NDSU is the later but that is your only hope to rattle him into some bad throws and score on your first scripted drive to play from a lead.

You are really lucky that Grant Rohach is supposedly a bad practice player and has beeen for a while from what people have told me and it was enough to cost him his job he'd light you up for 4 bills and 4 tuddys which Richardson prob can't do. Im sort of thinking it was the wrong guy who won the job Rohach would have had teh same game against NDSU he did against WVU.

Bibbs will get more targets since Richardson doesn't go down field as well hes going to have a monster day regardless of who is on him.

Oh, he's from the farm. Well, thats ballgame. Might as well move on to week 2.

You better hope your offense can score, because this isn't last year and these are not the same teams as last year.

Who did Grant play well against? The same teams that Sam did.

I think our base offense will be a 3 wide set this year. I think Mangino will use it similar to Fred using Georges, if you bring on the nickel we will run the ball if Thorton stays on the field we will throw. Don't forget though in a true Tampa 2 your MLB is running a middle middle zone. If he has to drop deeper into coverage that will open a lot of crossing routes and slipping backs out of the backfield.

Correct sir, kudos to you for knowing your football. The reason the Bison defense has been so good is we have been able to play 5 dbacks and still stop the run with only 2 LB's. Our D Line will have to play well.

Littlejohn will be the MLB roaming the middle, Beck will be on the weakside looking for RB's, crossing routes, and covering your TE from time to time. Then we will probably have an extra DB in the game to help with the extra receiver, or play Bo Liekhus more than Thorton, as Dakid said.

If your base is 3 WR, then I don't think Thorton will be playing a ton, since you will have 4 pass catching weapons on the field at all times but I'm not the coach- only going on how we played last year against these type of sets. Which leads to the question- since Thorton was a returning starter, and your base offense may force him off the field, does that leave us with 7 returning starters now? Or are we down to 6??

So, you've been watching practices with the coaches? Breaking down film? You're as qualified as Mangino and Sturdy?

You shouldn't drunk post.

I gotta hunch this game is going to play out like ISU v Utah a few years ago with ISU in the Utah roll. Probably way to optimistic but my spidey senses are speaking. Tough smash mouth game for a bit and then - Sumnabitch, who turned that dude loose. I don't think NDSU has seen the number of good receivers and backs they will see in this game. Only question is how well SR distributes the ball.

Holy crap, I swear you sleep in Bison pjs. Bibbs will play in the NFL and will be one of the first tight ends selected next year, have some freaking perspective. I'm from a farm so that means I can cover Bibbs too. You're posts are getting really old and even your fanbase is sick of it.

Rohach has a rep of not being the best practice QB but plays better in games. Probably cost himself the job not having a great camp. Im not someone to talk about being connected I just take the word of one person close to the program (semi recent former player no amazing connection) I know more than most over what I read on here. Cyclone fanatic is way better for basketball anyways this forum in FB has too many people who take offense to anything that isn't gung ho positive. (Still one of the best fan forums anywhere I won't participate in any Syracuse one because our fans are total morons over the internet and 100x worse for example since the idiots are extremely negative which is far worse I mean 90% of them think Jerami Grant was stupid because he got drafted early 2nd round with no jumper by the worst team in the NBA who will guarantee him 20 mins a night...they think he could have gone lottery with zero offense if he came back...again its embarrassing CF is 100x better.)

Richardson is a funny QB because he played hurt (not well) to demonstrate toughness and leadership however hes been brutal when a team has rattled him and threw him off his game.

Richardson was the reason the team lost the bowl game to Tulsa and the T Tech game. If he steps up and plays well instead of safe throws only and just being average the UNI game and Texas are wins. Think hes been the difference in the wrong way in a few of those starts.

Whatever everyone has different opinions Im just not sure dumping the guy who led the team to a great win to build some momentum against WVU was smart. Think he would have picked up where he left off and tossed for 4 bills against this 1aa team. Now we have to see what the dual threat who doesn't stretch the field and isn't that a great runner can do. Richardson hasn't hit very many downfield throws hes a short and intermediate guy. Not a bad runner but doesn't always chose the right spots to tuck it.

Sorry but I'd rather have 3 more years of the guy who slung it all over against WVU than give his job away to someone who is reliable and a decent QB but can't win close games and seems to fold under pressure.

So Rohach would spend the first half playing like crap so NDSU got into a huge lead, then depend on their offense to make a crap ton of stupid mistakes allowing him to get decent field position to score?

I mean, I'm a fan of Grant, but that's pretty much how the WVU game played out.

Well, my post went way over your head. I like both QBs, but I defer to the guys getting paid to decide instead of my amateur eyes and brain. If Sam is 100% and the OL isnt in shambles, he is a bigger dual threat than Rohach and our offense needs as many weapons as we can get.

****, this is amazingly bad even for a sports message board.

Who did Grant play okay against? Oh, that's right, the same teams that Sam looked okay against.

I am glad you aren't a QB coach because you'd be a blind one.

Wow, this is worse the Lakes! Oh wait, you're just trying to fool him right?

Thanks, its unfortunate that a few can destroy it for so many. Trust me about this though, 99.5% of NDSU fans are fantastic people who would give you the shirts off their backs literally.

Same thing with us.

Not true with me. I can't wait to be dropping football knowledge on you during the game whomever sits by me

So you are totally ok with him giving you false information, but are not ok with (most) Bison fans on here who present facts? So are you like Cyclone lakes, only information is true if it benefits your side?

Wow! This insult definitely crossed the line...
