I have to give this NDSU fan some props here for putting down the world's most delusion Bison fan and being realistic. Lakes and one or two other guys ruin it for everyone else, but a few of these Bison fans are actually decent.
Haha wow. You guys take the cake. It's Allright to poo poo ndsu's accomplishments. Have at it, you've been doing it for 3200 posts. 10 days and I cannot wait, at least iowa state fans won't look as shocked as Kansas State fans last year. Right?
If ISU wins, I'm sure lakes will walk upstairs from his bedroom in the basement and go cry on his mom's shoulder.
Good clarification. The BV discussion about playing Alabama is probably driven by some of the less rational fans . . . such as the same ones who are fixated on becoming an FBS team.
Why do you play his game? Bison1, NDSUSR, BYYYYEZON, etc deserve a discussion on this game. LB should be ignored at all cost.
Random Question because it has been awhile for football related talk. I was reading about your defense, in on the blogs on this site. The stat that hit me was, "The Cyclones finished 112th in the nation in rush defense in 2013, allowing opponents to scamper for 230 yards per game. Iowa State gave up a monstrous 5.35 yards per carry."
As a person that doesnt know alot about ISU football, how many of those player are returning starters? I was looking at the depth chart, and i appears your defense is really young. I do not see many Seniors on the depth chart, did they mostly graduate, or was it rough year for getting recruits, or was last year mostly a growing pains with young pups?

Don't know the exact numbers but we lost 3 of our 4 secondary, MLB, and a some DT's due to conduct
Part of the reason that number is so high is that how we played defense. Played a bend but don't break type of D where you hope to hold them towards the end of the drive
Stupid IMO but It seems like we may be more aggressive this year.
The other huge piece that ran up the numbers against our defense, is that they were always on the field. With our offense going 3 and out every other time, it led to a large possesion time difference, and therefore more opportunities for other teams to continue to wear down an already very worn down defense. I think our defense last year wouldn't have looked nearly as bad, if our offense could have kept them off the field for an extra 5-10 minutes a game.
Rushing stats are typically related to winning or not winning the battle on the line of scrimmage, while bend but not break defense usually refers to your secondary giving big cushions on WR's. Then when you get near the end zone your corners play closer because there isn't the risk of getting beat deep in a 20 yard space.
Winning the rushing battle and the line of scrimmage has been NDSU's bread and butter for the last three years, but we only return one starter on the lines on both sides of the ball. We are hopeful the newcomers can get some push for our running game and the defensive line can stop yours, but hope doesn't do much. We will only know for certain in 10 days.

People jealous of you? You must be doing something right. BTW, I would not call Ford Fiestas "big rigs".
