People can live successful lives without going to college but they have to be good at some sort or trade or something to get anywhere and avoid making $10/hour.

A buddy of mine dropped out of college the first semester and he makes good money. Not a ton but he isn't poor either. The only thing is he is working awful hours and doing manual labor. I'll pass on both of those things.

A deep breath, cowgirl...you're looking at the situation with the lingering resentment, but I can tell you that most of the rest of us not attached to the situation look at that story and think that you got out of it with the good end of the deal. You learned responsibility, and that the world is not always fair, but you can only control yourself, and your self worth, if based on your personal achievements, is stronger than any other valuation.

Your sister has been set up for a hard landing and a long life of struggles the way it sounds. You need not be angry or hold resentment toward her. Forgive her and she has nothing on you anymore.

I know. When I was her age, I had a full-time job with benefits, had been living on my own or with roommates for almost 5 years - I get that she is on a very different path right now.

Ive drank the kool aid now I m feeling good about our FB season, thinking well be dark horse bowl game winners; or Ive built myself up to be disappointed again. Not for sure.

I'm almost right there with you but then I remember it's ISU football and not basketball.

This is like the statement "I'm not racist or anything, but..." It's always immediately conflicted by the preceding or following statement.
I disagree on that one, if he said I think cowgirl is uglier (not trying to be creepy) then It'd be different

had

PapaLew went down to his mom's so I grabbed a burger on the way home. Boring! Last night was good tho...baked salmon & wild rice. HyVee had fresh Wild Coho & King. Mmmmmmmmmmm :)

I'm going to talk about lunch, cause I'm rebellious like that. Seriously, simple, but good. Cut up a chicken, some new potatoes, and an onion. Got a little sloppy on the cutting of the chicken, the skin on the breasts wasn't worth leaving on, so I pulled it off, and threw it in the preheating cast iron skillet in the oven. Put the taters and onions on the bottom, seasoned, then put the chicken on top, seasoned. Cooked at 350 for an hour. Chicken fat cooked the taters and onions....mmm...it was really good.
