I think that ISU should treat this game like a pre-season NFL game... Play the first stringers sparingly and keep our cards close to the deck. I don't think that our players will play at the same intensity as the Bison which could lead to injuries.... I know that NDSU is well respected but I don't see our team being in the game mentally as evidenced by the UNI game last season.

and some of you make fun of my posts? This is borderline clinically insane. ndsu will not give up alot of points because 7 returning Def starters are a combined 43-2 and averaged about 17-20ppg

We posted the starters and depth chart and ht wts about 5 times in this 3500 post thread. Might as well sticky them geez louise

Those corners and safeties are so short. Our receivers should have fun with them. Not a single starter in the secondary at 6'-0" or taller.

Same was the case last year and what we heard about Kansas State. Lockett beat us on one long ball on a great move by an all American player. Our D Backs play physical and are very fast. Have never had tall secondary players but they are experienced and great players for NDSU. Don't be surprised to see man to man with CB's and they will do a lot of jamming at line to slow up routes to allow LB's Beck and Littlejohn to make plays.

The progress of Richardson and avoidance of starting QB controversy has to be quite demoralizing for NDSU. For Richardson to run away with the starting spot among 3 Big XII caliber quarterbacks and with the depth in the skill positions around him, NDSU will be the first team to run into a born again offensive juggernaut. Tough way to break in a new defense.

How much you think the line is going to move biso?

huh?

Those are some pretty small o and d lines...

Can't tell if you are serious or not. But if you are, According to this depth chart updated on 8/13 for iowa state, https://iowastate.rivals.com/cdepthtext.asp our accumulated offensive line heights are dead even, and NDSU accumulated weight > ISU by 4 pounds. That's pretty even with size, NDSU slight advantage. On defense, your line is 1 inch shorter, but have us by 18 pounds. Not really sure where you are getting the basis for that comment, unless you think your lines are undersized as well. In general, we aren't worried as much about our size on the lines as the inexperience on the lines, especially the offense.

I would think though that a running team like NDSU would have some bigger guys up front. Our lines are sorta built for Big 12 style.

Congrats on your QB decision, he seems like a good one.

Been through this before, NDSU is far from breaking in a new defense, scheme or players.

The more the line moves in favor of Iowa state, the better.

Yeah, you have a point- our 4 starters we lost were bigger, at least weight wise, than our newcomers. Still wouldn't say we are terribly undersized or anything. Will be interested to see how much push the O line gets (or any push) against you guys, as getting into a lot of 3rd and long situations with Carson's first game is not a good strategy...

Jensen will be starting on the DL. So technically our DL is bigger. Not that it matters because the dlines dont face each other.

NDSU has good size, and a lot of the players were strong enough to play with KSU last year, so I'm not expecting ISU to bully them by any means. If it's even in the trenches I think we're probably gonna be in decent shape.

I think we're in trouble. Have you guys heard about their quarterback? He's like 7'8, 390 pounds. He's like Jared Lorentzen, but instead of fat is pure muscle. He has a .78 percent body fat content. Even though he's only thrown like, 20 passes in his 5 years as a North Dakota Jackrabbit, it's just because he's their secret weapon. They didn't want to play him too much to have mercy on their opponents, but since last year's quarterback went pro and probably will start for Miami this year, they don't have a choice but to release the beast.

Its not a new defense , same Tampa 2 version as last 3 title runs. In fact 7 starters coming back.

kansas st got 40 yards rushing on us. Good luck

I like how you quote game stats from a year ago, with a different coach, and a different team, as if it has any bearing whatsoever on the upcoming game. If it weren't so stupid, it'd be cute. Wait, no, it still wouldn't be cute.
