Was thinking the same thing. Does anyone in DM area ever go to Sarpinos? I love that place but it seems like no one has heard of it.

I did the same thing a few years ago. It had to get run up to VP level (in a Fortune 500 company), but it got approved. 8% raise, which was more than I asked for actually.

haha, thanks. I just complain a lot though in all honesty, the last year I've taken on a lot with little reward. Good for professional growth but I'd like to get paid for it as well. Especially this painful training of a very nice but unprepared person.
It seems odd that my boss (and her boss) don't get to control what I get, but IT was the same way. She put in a request for my computer, and it was SUCH a pain to actually get it. Even though it was our department's money, IT was deciding what I got.
Yeah and you have Encore there, so no need to go anywhere else for great pizza.
Seems like companies like to add more to people's plates without compensating them for the additional workload, unless they demand it. Good for you for looking out for yourself.
