Unthaw shouldn't even be a word.
Took me years to break hubby of using that dang word.
Unthaw and thaw do NOT have the same meaning. The prefix "un" means "not". "Not"thaw would be freeze. Therefore they are opposites. And prefixes should be used on adverbs or adjectives...it's uncommon to use them on action verbs like thaw.

Oh...okay...got it now. I was thinking of the bozos who use unthaw as a verb - as in "I need to unthaw the meat before I put it on the grill".

The "Hoff" turns 62 today.
Knight Rider or Baywatch?
yuck, my poor toe/foot looks gross from running. Can repeat blisters give you cancer or anything? Just want to make sure there aren't real dangers here.

Are you wearing proper running shoes for your foot size? Different shoes fit differently in different places of the foot. Maybe you need to go to one or those places that can tell you the type of shoe you should use.

Cowgirl, there's a website to start off with. In Indiana they had a chain of places called Blue Mile where you could actually go in and they'd have you step in this thing so they could perfectly adjust a running shoe toward your foot. I'd imagine you could find something like that in Wisconsin, especially if you live by Madison or Milwaukee, but it's not the cheapest thing in the world either.
The ones I have were fitted for me at one of those running places. The shoes had been fine last fall. It's like I ran too hard too fast this spring (went right back to three miles after a couple months off) and now I'm not running often enough. So it got a deep blister on the bottom of my big toe, and then when it finally peeled, I was running on the new skin. So I probably need to do a couple short runs to toughen it up, but I don't do that. So it blisters a little bit, peels, then blisters again. Thought tonight it looks bad, it feels like it may actually be getting harder. Right foot is fine. I wore a bandaid tonight and it didn't hurt nearly as much at the end as normal so I'm hoping that helps. I think I should probably get new shoes, but I'm putting it off.
