This is the most annoying thing I have ever watched. All it is is Marv Albert and Grant Hill talking about Steve Kerr.

Kane has two more buckets now. Up to 7 points.

I wouldn't throw stones from a glass house.

I stick by my opinion. RIGHT NOW Kane is better than Nash. Saying otherwise is a "moronic" comment. Marshall had all his points and assists backing up Nash (who missed a lot of games due to injury... hmmmm). The Lakers also were down in most of their games, so any stats he put up are a little inflated. Disagreeing with that is a "moronic" comment.

listen man, there's no need to be a dbag. Were all clone fans. Am I little biased, sure, but I'm not blind. Marshall isn't great. Would they cut him for Kane? Not sure. They're not keeping Lin or Nash. Marshall isn't a long term answer. If Kane is good enough, keep him in the d league until you can dump Nash and let Lin's contract expire. I think he makes their d league, and then gets called up. Essentially making the roster.

First you say he is their starting PG and now you "think" he makes their D-League roster. I hope you see why no one ever takes you serious.

I never said he would be. I said he could be. That's not far fetched for as bad as the Lakers are.

this is a forum. Nothing I say I think is fact. It's all predictions and opinions on certain subjects. If you can't see or understand that, then why are you here? Maybe you're just not smart enough. After all, that is, my opinion.

You trying to get something out of me, it's fine. I don't care. How about you stop so other people don't have to see it, cause its a bad look.

felt bad for kane last night that he was on the court with kendall marshall and jordan clarkson in some bizarre 3 PG lineup.

it was uncanny how similar it was watching kane struggle in that game a laker, just like matt thomas struggled as a frosh for us. two players who are used to having the ball in their hands, best players on their team, and suddenly they have to just stand in the corner/wing and hope they get a pass from their teammates. (good luck with that in nba summer league!).

Agreed... then Julius Randle kept playing hero ball and trying to go end to end and turning it over.

In his defense, who is the best player at the position isn't usually the first reason why someone is or isn't on the roster. Contracts and publicity drive the boat just as much if not more so. They aren't going to pay Nash an ungodly salary and make him the third stringer whether he deserves to be or not. They aren't going to trade for Lin and then cut him whether he deserves to be or not. Kane MIGHT be better than them both (I am not saying he is) and stands basically no chance of being ahead of them on the depth chart. Kane is basically fighting Marshall and Clarkson for the 3rd PG role, which is a fight I think he will lose. Right now he isn't under contract with LA so he will get the chance to find a better option elsewhere. I just don't see it with LA any more now that they have Lin.

That was first loss in 17 games for the GSW. The 3 headed monster did accomplish their mission.

It's gunna be tough for Kane to make the LA roster. They have to keep Nash (They have to pay him no matter what), Marshall and Lin. He isn't producing much in summer league so far, and airballed a 3 last night. I hope he catches on, but it's not looking good.

I think he still has a chance considering he is a SG first, and PG second. Lakers SG spots are thinner than PG spots.

Maybe he should sign with Miami Heat. I heard they have a great team.

I'll have to say I agree with TwoCoach on this one (yikes!). Ultimately, summer league playing time is not proportional to skill/ability. The summer league is meant to evaluate the picks from the draft. Those guys get the majority of the minutes, regardless of how bad they play. The other players will get a couple of minutes at most and have to be AMAZING during that short amount of time for a GM/coach to take notice. Simply having a solid outing is not going to cut it...

I understand it is your opinion, but your history of making far-fetched or even absurd statements make myself and others not take you serious. 99% of the time I ignore you but I was bored the other night when you first made your comment and decided to respond. We are all ISU fans, but most of us have the ability to think without the ISU blinders clouding our eyes.

Kane is a great player and will play professionally somewhere this years and years to come, but for you to think/say he is the second best on a team before even seeing him play is asinine. Plain and simple he is not at this point. Once he gets his feet wet he will lock on with a team and be fine. Like others have said, the Lakers are stuck with stupid contracts and will have to make moves for him to make the roster. Is it out of the realm of possibility...no, but it's a rather large long shot.

i said 3rd best, behind Lin and Marshall, and before Lin I said he had a chance to start. Far-fetched, maybe, but I never claimed he would be an all-star, and the MVP, and the Lakers would be champions, and he would be finals MVP. That's ISU blinders.

The last time someone said they didn't take me serious on this board was like 2 years ago when I thought I was cool trying to troll. I realized it adds nothing. Since then, I have been nothing but serious and no one has said anything until now.

I'm collecting bets for a ZJohnson vs. BallSoHard4Cy showdown. Maybe I should open up a voting thread to see who everyone thinks would win...

I can see both sides of the argument. We've all seen what Kane is able to do. However, he'll need the minutes to prove that and I just don't think he will get those minutes with the Lakers.

That's the side of the argument he didn't present. He just said Kane was worse than Nash, Lin, Marshall, Clarkson, and whoever else was on the roster.

My goodness, if you don't like what I have to say, ignore it.

edit: that's not directed at you

She is a great interviewer . . . actually knows Kane and Iowa State . . . asks questions we would want to ask.

She also works for the Big 12, so it makes sense. I remember seeing her at the post game for the ISU KSU game in Ames.
