Just watched a Wheel of Fortune puzzle - answer was Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins.

It reminded me of our elementary school after noon recess the teacher would normally read a chapter from a children's book. One of them was Mary Poppins. This particular teacher pronounced it "Popkins" every single time. Even as a kid I knew that was wrong.

Had a step grandfather who once talked about going to "Colonel Saunders". He absolutely had no idea "Saunders" and "Sanders" were not the same name.

Haven't thought about either of those for a loooooong time.

Yeah. I was watching too.
