That's fair.

I think if they lose this series, it will be looked as they did not epically change the landscape of the NBA. I felt when they formed, people thought it would be 4-5 championships. If they finish with just 2 (4 finals appearances), that's impressive, but I don't think it will match the expectations.

They also did it in the east... Obviously they're a good team but they do play like just a bunch of players and don't really give off team vibe. No way they would have made it to 4 straight finals in the west..

As bulls fans we can attest to this. We were an eyelash from 3rd place with a team consisting of joakim Noah, role players, and fringe nba roster guys.

The 4 championship appearances and two titles are nice but it wasn't done nearly as dominant as I think people envisioned when they formed. They have had a couple of series's where they were very fortunate to escape from. Certainly nothing like the Jordan era where no series went past 6 in their rain of dominance.

How many teams in the last 25 years claimed they had the best trio in history before playing a game together? They're unique in lots of ways.

I'm a big Bulls fan, and I agree with your basic point, but there were at least a couple series that went 7, unless you are just referring to the finals.

The 4 straight was also done getting to play through the east... You can't really not call it a success but I think everyone around the NBA thought they would be more dominant.

Some of the hype they begged for and created themselves. It was the media that tabbed them to challenge 72 a few times and they never got close. They've generally been more dominant in the playoffs than regular season. Until this year chicago had a winning record against them regular season but owned by them in the playoffs.

Bulls had it the other way around wher ECF was almost always tougher than finals with maybe the exception of the two Utah teams.

Yeah I take that back I guess there were two that went game 7 but still thats over 6 championship runs that's pretty insane

Yeah, definitely, and I think that was partly style of play. There were some decent teams coming out of the West, but the ones that went seven were in the East. New York and Indiana come to mind.

The early 90's we had to go through the Bad boys both in Detroit and New York. Second 3 peat our ECF opp were Orl, Miami, Indiana which is only series I believe we had to win in 7 games.
 
had it been 2-2 game 5 is always pivotal, but this one still is in terms of keeping it a series.

SA is going to have to go off the tracks in addition to great play by Miami, they're playing too well to lose 3 in a row when 2 are at home. I really would not have expected Duncan to be playing better than a couple years ago and Splitter has become the ideal sub for him in the system. Diaw giving them star play in spurts really puts it over the top.
