There have been many times where I've thought JP should have booted guys off the football team in the past, but he hasn't. He let them play. Heck, he let David Irving come back well before anything was decided in his assault case. But he thought that was the "right" thing to do, huh?
Ok, I got it now. JP decides which criminals he'll let play at ISU. But Bubu, who isn't even a criminal, isn't allowed to. I got it. It all makes sense now. Clear as day.

It's possible Leath and JP genuinely believe they are doing the right thing. It's possible they believe Bubu did violate the student code of conduct.
