Bubu could help...Monte at the point

From a chemistry standpoint, bubu should play minimal minutes if any.

Did you watch the Cyclones last season? The team got better after he joined it in late January. Don't think chemistry will be any problem, he will probably be an inspiration because the players obviously want him back.

As much as I enjoy drinking the Register Haterade, that was a good article from Peterson. Much better than Bryce Miller's POS column last week.

For sure. BuBu is handling this lousy situation with a lot of class, again.

But in what meaningful game has Naz or MT played better than Bubu did last season?
Or his sophomore year?
Assuming Bubu continued to improve over the summer, and in the non-conference when he was getting his first consistent significant minutes he would be at worst the first guard off the bench in terms of minutes. Now, who knows, but he does have practice at coming back mid-season.

BuBu is a hard worker and improved every year he's been at ISU, even in spite of last seasons late start.

In ISUs Most important Games of the Year (Big12 Tourney and NCAA Tourney):
Bubu's Mins:

2011-12:....... 13mins per game
2012-13: ..... 10Mins per game.

If Fred is willing play him during over 25% of these games........
Bubu has gotta some some talent, even if it is just running the Offence and Playing some D.

LOL....yeah, I'm sure you know how he is going to affect team chemistry.

I think the chemistry might be affected if he doesn't play. Think about it. Yes, the kid did a dumb thing, but then from all appearances got screwed over by the University president and the BOR. Then, after letting him play 17 games last year, now JP does not want him back on the team? I'm just guessing the players that were here last year and know Bubu best are thinking WTF? about JP's statement. They appear to be welcoming him back. I think to not play him would be a huge mistake, and could be discouraging for the other players.....especially if he shows some skills that could help this team in games.

It is truly unbelievable what a cluster **** Leath, the BOR, and JP have made of this.

No, the team does not need another guard that cannot shoot consistently and cannot defend and cannot create.
Bubu may struggle shooting, but he can do the latter two better than what Naz and Thomas have shown.

EXACTLY.....

And more importantly, do not reinstate him because he can help us, reinstate him because he should be now that the charges have been dropped.

As much as i agree with ISU's policy of not allowing a player on the court while his case is pending - this is a done deal. Nothing further....no waiting until season to press charges - its been thrown out. And furthermore, the judge has indicated that ISU has no legal right to keep him from playing. This is not a pierre pierce or sam mack situation....

As far as i'm concerned, the legal process has run its course and he's been found innocent. In todays social media court system he was found guilty and had to prove his innocence...he's done that to satisfy the court, why do some members insist that he never play for ISU again....dont get it.

Never want ISU represented by an accused criminal but in this case, that is not the case. He should be allowed to suit up. I never once said i wished Bubu could come back quite the opposite. But, if the man has done everything he could and courts agree with his side of the story enough to issue a reprieve on his suspension, maybe it might be time for social media to do the same.

One last consideration - if it were Kane or Niang or Ejim would you think differently? Bubu has been and could be a key addition to limit minutes by Morris, Long and Thomas. This could keep all fresher and provide stability to an offense that sometimes is lacking it.

I'm excited for him being back on the team and hopefully a big morale boost for the team with the recent loses. He'll play but not sure how soon. My guess is Fred will give him a good week of practice before he'll bring him into a game for a few minutes at a time to get his game legs going and see if he can get the offense moving. His driving and penetration could be a huge plus for our stymied offense right now and hopefully he will find his stroke and rhythm. If he's been working with Jake I have no doubt he's been working on allot of shooting.

I think the DSM Register would disagree with you.

He's been working out with Jake Sullivan.

The article also mentions Dr Leath not only plans to attend the game Saturday, but will be sitting near the ISU bench not far from Bubu. In the aftermath of Judge Thomas Bice's ruling, won't that seating arrangement be just a wee bit awkward?

Maybe a clever disguise is in order for the good doctor?

I don't know if Dr. Leath normally sits there or not, or if he even normally goes to the games. But if this is his first time sitting there, the timing is just not good. He's put himself at odds with the players and it sounds like they will be seeing him if not walking by him constantly during the game.
