Given all the outstanding press coverage ISU has had during the past two weeks, I sure hope the conduct of the students Monday night doesn't negate all that has been gained in that regard. Down deep, I believe our students are the best out there and the onslaught of F-bombs which has creeped into the scene is just not the Iowa State way and isn't consistent with what Hilton Magic has been all about for years and years. PLEASE---let's keep the Hilton Magic tradition intact!

I really like that! I hope someone does do a sign like this. I really don't care for that he gets to technicals and it almost always benefits them. I almost wish that if Bill does get a technical against us (which I'm like 95% sure he will) that the crowd shows no emotion to it. I know it's impossible but it would be a big F U to Self.

I think what ticks me off even more is that he gets away with it. Just once I'd like to see him get ejected on the first T, in the first half. Okay, maybe more than just once.
There has to be some way to use the old GEICO eyes and make it a reference to KU...
I may be wrong, but I think someone DID use that once...don't remember if it was for KU, tho. It was a few years back.
Put a K in one eye and a U in the other, photoshop Self's horrendous rug on it, and then come up with something clever about the ref's and you are set.
There seems to be one of these threads for every game, which is great.
I have been thinking about this for a while.....and I think CA needs some signs to hold up besides Hilton Magic when ISU gets on a roll. The Magic is for when ISU comes from behind, or beats someone they maybe shouldn't beat......but it really does not describe when ISU gets on a run like they so often do. I think a sign is needed to describe those runs.
Back in the 80's, the L.A. Lakers with "Magic", Kareem, Worthy, Cooper, Green, Rambis, Scott ran a high-scoring offense and it was labeled Showtime. I think that would be an appropriate description of ISU MBB when they go on a run burying 3's in transition, Kane (and others) making passes, Ejim and Hogue (and others) dunking. Just a thought.
Tell me this video does not resemble ISU's sharing, fast-breaking offense though......

So.....bottom line.......I would be in favor of some Red and Gold "Showtime" signs fans could hold up when ISU goes on a run, or any time for that matter. That's my 2 cents.
