No, just heard last week that they should be ready by the 6th to start announcing the hires. Person works directly with football program (but not for). The person didn't know who but said he knew some of who were in the mix but not sure what positions they were being considered for. Sounds like very few actually in the know and others are just picking up bits from who has interviewed etc.

So, did this person not give you names? Or are you not giving us names? Either way, this post is a tease (other than Jan 6 starting the announcements).

I doubt they will announce today because they don't want it to get lost in the shuffle of the NC.

Rhett Lashlee is the OC of Auburn (at present). (Unfortunate for us) I doubt that Coach Lashlee will leave an OC position with a potential College Football National Championship team to come to Iowa State. (Nice thought, however.)

Not really sure Todd Sturdy is the man. OC at Washington State where they won 4 games in 4 years does not make me real thrilled with that type of hire. Racking up yards while the other team has already kicked your *** skews statistics.
