Iowa's fans logic is that if they shoot less FTs than their opponent, then they got screwed and would have won the game if not for the FT disparity.
Ok, that's fine if they really want to go there. Then I'm sure they'd also agree that their record right now should then be 2-10 instead of 10-2. Yes, Iowa has shot more FTs than their opponents in 10 of their 12 games this year. Obviously the refs were "for" them in all these games and the other team would have won if it would have been called more evenly.
Iowa has attempted 341 FTs up to the ISU game, while their opponents have attempted 194 FTs. 147 more FT attempts for Iowa than their opponents. So obviously Iowa is paying off the refs in most games.
