I suppose this is a dumb question, but why would he wait to see what would happen with RV? If he really was convinced he wanted to come here, wouldn't he want to grab the offer before its filled by someone else?
If we can get both I bet there is a ship waiting for both at the dock.
I can think of at least one guy that probably isn't long for the Cyclone MBB world.
I really want this guy. He could sit and play very little as a youngster behind McKay and Nader and then be ready to contribute heavily by his second/third year after McKay and Nader are gone.
The thought of ISU bringing in a Top 100 recruit to sit on the bench and play very little minutes his first year was almost impossible to comprehend 5-6 years ago. Now it's fairly possible. That's how much CFH and Co have improved this program.
He was close, but outside the Top 100. Rivals had him as #125, 247 had him as #125 composite also. Scout did not have him ranked.
We could have 2 next year, if Vaughn signs. I think Custer will not get many minutes if Vaughn signs.
Cunningham has been about as hush hush on his recruitment as anyone this year. Not really stating who he likes. Does he have a trimmed list?

Morris is the only PG we have next year if Custer doesn't play. Unless you count Naz as a PG?
I think his point is that you only have so many minutes to go around. Morris appears to be a good PG, so with an extra year, he'll be a 25-30 min/game type guy. You would have Naz and Vaughn who could both handle the ball well enough to fill in some time at PG. Those three, along with Thomas would all be deserving of significant minutes.
We can't run 4 guard sets frequently next year, because our front court is going to be too talented. Niang, Nader, McKay and Hogue all have to play too.
One way to alleviate some of the backlog at guard, would be to get Naz and Vaughn some minutes at point.
Exactly, not sure that Fred doesn't red shirt Custer with or without a Vaughn signing. Back to topic, I really hope Josh C. signs with us.
He's not going to red shirt. Custer will play an important role on next year's team.
That or we have Fred petition the NCAA to allow all of the ISU games be 7 on 7 instead of 5 on 5 :yes::yes:.... I'd like our chances against any team if that was the case.
Thank you! He looks like an absolute stud from the videos I've seen. This guy controls the game flow and makes everyone around him look better with his smart play and passing ability. Call me a douchetard, but I think he will be better than Morris (and no, that's not ripping on Morris).
