I get really upset about the 2nd game of the season-sorry to disappoint you all.
Not to defend this stinker of a win, but....

Wasn't that the Royce White team? Against a team that was 1-11?
It can happen to anybody. Just glad to see the Hawks come out on top. Hopefully they regroup. I like UNO's guys though, they played tough, and with passion. That was neat to see out of a low-major team.

these kind of games happen all the time to good teams early in the season. For Iowa fans, no need to panic.
I'm glad we won big today, but what if our 3 pointers don't fall? Where does our team get it's offense if it's the 3's don't fall. We still have a ton of work to do.
Royce played 3 minutes in that game. Unless your star is Oglesby this isn't a very good attempt at defending your win.
Ill never understand why people try and make this point. The 3's are Fred Hoiberg's offense. He's proven that this isn't something that rarely happens here.
An equally fair question would've been what would've happen if Iowa doesn't get to the line 50 times. That's their offense.
I can give you a few dozen posts to Iowa final four and top ten ranking talk, and that's just on one message board.
NIT teams who can't shoot ALWAYS jump into the top ten the next season.
Can a game be played, either football or basketball where ISU fan doesn't cry and blame the refs?
Iowa attacks the lane and gets to the FT line, that is their game, just as the 3 ball is ISU's game. Iowa almost made as many FT (655) as ISU attempted last year (696). Iowa attempted 200 more FT last year than ISU, and was 3rd nationally in FT attempts and 2nd nationally in FT made. Iowa is going to go to the line even more this year with the new rules in effect, this is not shocking.
