APs son in the hospital

My blood just ran cold. Poor AP, I can't even imagine how he's dealing with this.
 
There are no words to describe someone so evil that they would severely beat a 2 year old child. I hope the best for the kid and the worst for the scum bag that did it.
 
Not to get all platform-y, but why the eff would AP's ex not know this was happening?? Did she sit there and watch? Why would you let someone who you're merely dating even MEET your very young child, let alone live with them?! I can imagine that AP wants to just murder her, too.
 
Who the **** beats up a 2 year old child? That POS deserves to die. I hope the boy recovers :sad:

This is getting off track a little but if you were dating someone you wouldn't let them meet your child or live with them if it was serious enough? I haven't read how serious the relationship is and really that makes no difference to what's going on but I just find the issue you have to be sort of weird.

that's what I was wondering - was he abusing her too? Did she know he was abusing the child? Why was this child alone with him? And if she did know, I wish a long, slow, torturous death on her too.
 
I don't care if it's a professional athlete's kid or not. That ****** needs to have his *** beaten and put away for a very very long time. Just sickening.

Sioux Falls police Lt. Blaine Larsen told the Argus Leader that Patterson was the only person home with Peterson’s son at the time of the attack. He added that Patterson’s relationship with the child’s son was “fairly new.

I am a raging mama bear - I'd have to really, really, really have been with someone a long time before they'd even meet my child if I were in that situation, and I would have to know them very well. We'd be married before they move in. I think it's incredibly confusing to see dating partners revolve through the door, and stuff like this can happen.

NOT SO FAST! IT MAY NOT BE HIS SON. This was a TMZ thing.... still a ****ed up thing but it may not be his son. I would say 60/40 at this point since a lot of news outlets are taking the story down.
 
That's a little vague. I dated a woman with a child and probably 2 months in, if I was over there and she needed to run to the store or something, I'd stay and watch him. I would consider 2 months "new" I guess. Anyway, that part doesn't matter. What matters is this hoser beat a two year old, evidently pretty badly.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that she shouldn't have any guy around her two year old, but you have to be a much better judge of character.

If this **** is the kind of person who would beat a 2 year old almost to death, then he probably showed signs of being a complete **** beforehand. That the kind of person you DO NOT let around your two year old.

I am guessing his Ex is not exactly a model citizen or an intelligent person and was probably getting beat up herself.

Ok, the mother should be in jail for endangering her child then. She was probably leaving the house to score.

I'm not trying to get on you about it, I just remember reading some other cases here recently where it was a very new boyfriend left home with a baby (who started crying) or a young toddler girl (yeah, not good) and bad things happened. In those cases, I believe the mothers were charged too because the children had signs of previous trauma/abuse. So I'm jumping to conclusions here that this woman was ignoring signs of abuse similar to other cases.

You are probably a bit more trustworthy than this guy. Just guessing.

exactly. I'm guessing he wasn't a stand-up guy to start with.
