D'Vario Montgomery

bo williams 2.0

i hope i'm wrong but i've seen this hype train on here before.....

having said that, i was hyped for bo, without knowing anything other than his "4 star rating" same as what i know about this kid. never seen him play, have no idea how good he can be.

Big difference here...BW's coach pretty much ran him off. Montgomery's coach was raving about him being a special kind of talent. Put simply, there was a reason Bo Williams left Florida and came to ISU. That is not the same reason Montgomery is/could be coming to ISU.

nobody and i mean nobody on this site thought that when williams came here. he was going to be as good as bo jackson it seemed to many on here. easy to say that now that we know what we know.

again, i'm sure montgomery is a fine player-not doubting his talents a bit, just going to hold off jizzing myself like we all did last time we had a high rated transfer in football.

So you obviously missed the info about him getting hurt and the coach he committed to leaving for another job part. Details. Meh.

Comparing him to Bo Williams is a nice reach too.

i didn't compare him to bo williams. i compared the way WE are hyping him to the way WE hyped bo williams. carry on.

edit-i can see how you thought i compared him by saying bo williams 2.0. my intention wasn't to say he was the next bo williams, rather that i've seen us hype up a high ranked transfer before. i should have used a different way of wording my initial post. i wasn't meaning to compare the 2 players.

Before you put down CyVader's opinion on the hype surrounding D'Vario Montgomery, I would suggest that you take the time to watch D'VM's senior highlights. Montgomery's four star rating was given based on his junior year (as Sam Richardson's number 1 receiver). When I watched his senior highlights (with a different QB), I can't say that I was all that impressed. I would take Quenton Bundrage, or Dondre Daley, any day of the week over Montgomery......

How did he manage to be the only player ever to be ranked only off his junior year while playing a senior year?

Uh, with Richardson being the starting QB at ISU it all seems like a moot point.
