Breaking Bad

Remember that Walt paid for Hanks medical bills...the episode where Skyler tells the family Walt won all this money gambling so that Marie would take the money?? Hanks bills were paid by Walt..that's an angle that I wouldn't be surprised to see play out.

As for Jesse, Walt is going to kill him. The only other alternative is Jesse kills Walt. Everybody seems to think the ricin Walt got from the house is for Hank. No way, that ricin is for Jesse. This story will end with a show down between Walt and Jesse. Walt will become the ultimate villian when he kills Jesse.

I think Hank goes full-blown vigilante against Walt. That's how he "breaks bad".

He won't be able to put together a legitimate prosecution against Walt, for a lot of reasons (namely the fact that he stole the evidence that broke the case, and the fact that Walt has "quit" and his ties to the drug production will get increasingly difficult to prove), and will just say "**** it" and go after Walt one-on-one.

One other thing to consider is that Hank has been at home (away from work) for about a week, right? He has known about Walt being Heisenburg for 1 week. If he does not report that to the DEA immediately, he will be in big trouble, fired or worse. Even waiting that week, might get him fired. If he was going to report that he probably needed to do that right away to have any chance of keeping his job.

I have no doubt that the sum of these circumstances force Hank to become an outlaw.

I guess I was under the impression he was well on his way to "rogue" because he never disputed Walts claims that he couldn't do anything. Now, what type of "rogue" is he going to go? Will he go after Walt? Will he try and use Walt as a pawn in order to try and shut someone else down now that Walt's not in the game and he doesn't have a case? I have a feeling it's neither of those and something else is coming.

As for Jesse, unless he turns himself in, which is very possible considering his state, he really isn't much of a threat to Walt unless he plans on killing him. I don't think Walt's going to kill Jesse (or Hank for that matter).

I do think in that beginning scene, Walt was supposed to be dead. I think that because of the reaction of the neighbor. Either that or Walt has killed a bunch of people close to him and is a "monster" among the neighbors. I don't think this thing gets to the point where it is a publicly known prosecution because like we have said, there isn't much of a case. Walt does something else to inspire a reaction like that from Carol. Also, how long in the future does that take place? These are things we don't really know do we? Ultimately, I would like to see that scene as the final scene of the season leading into a surprise 6th season or movie but I know that isn't going to happen.

Would love to see a 6th season. And why not? The show has never been as popular as it is right now. I'm curious what the ratings come in at for last night's episode. Probably a new record for the show, I would guess.

Well, I'm torn on it. To many good shows have been drug out one or two seasons too long and I don't want to see that. On the other hand I think they could bring a 6th season out of this because there are so many pieces and so many questions to answer.

I don't mean that Hank is forced to join Walt.

Rather, that Hank is forced to go outside the law to bring Walt down, and become a criminal himself.
I get what you're saying now.

I'm just throwing out another scenario, that Hank goes ALL IN on the family business.

Hasn't the writer of the show said he only wanted 5 seasons? If so, I'm sure he's going to close out this one in the next 7 weeks.

Also, AMC has been a homerun for shows.

I love that Breaking Bad is going out on top. Your story is only so long, you have that many episodes, and then you're done. For a story-driven show like BrBa, the addition of an extra season would just water everything down up to that point.

I love that there is still a huge amount of story left to be told, and only 7 episodes left to do it in. Every single episode from here on out is going to be great.

You're pretty close with this prediction.

Hank turns the heat up on Walt, Walt skips town (perhaps with Saul's assistance). Lydia & Co. need better product so they kidnap Skylar and/or the kids and/or Jesse. At the end, Walt is returning to save the day but gets killed. Hank, Walt's family and Jesse all survive. They all escape prosecution by testifying against Lydia & Co.

Walt gives someone the Ricin, probably Jesse (?) but that person switches the drink/food when Walt is not looking, and Walt ends up eating/drinking the ricin thus killing himself.

One other thing I was thinking about. What happened to Mike's body? They never did show Walt disposing of the body. Maybe he's not dead? That would be the ultimate twist. I'm probably reaching, but you never know.

He was in the trunk on the last episode before the break when Jesse comes into the shop and Walt says he is not going to pay him. Todd disposed of the car, and then they were both preparing the chemical that dissolves the body. Mike is dead.
