Q&A: Abdelmassih breaks down DeAndre Kane

Go ahead and ban me then. If I can't come on here and ask if the guy running the site asked the one question everyone wants to know the answer to, then what's the point behind having a site?

I guess it's not to question anything. Just like society these days. Don't make waves. Don't look outside the lines. Status quo is just fine.
No, making waves is fine. It's just nobody likes dumb waves.

He may or may not have asked but if you think an on-the-record answer was forthcoming from Matt then you are even dumber than I thought. That would be an epic feat.

Ask whatever question you want but don't call the guy who works his *** off running this site for you an *** kisser.

Okay, I probably shouldn't have said that, I agree. All I meant was that I fully understand the fine line he walks between getting good useful info and taking it too far and losing his access. I just don't think that asking this question takes it too far whatsoever. If Matt wasn't expecting that question, he should have.

Clonedude, asking your question is one thing. Going on and on is another. It seems that you are working pretty hard in a troll-like manner to turn these threads into conversations about you.

If you have any respect for the site, simply start new threads about your points of emphasis, so that you can have your conversations there, rather derail a thread about a great interview and CF exclusive.

Oh for god's sake. Chris could have easily asked the question, got an answer of 'you know I'm not going to answer that' and not put it in his writeup. He also could have known from his expirence that asking the question would have been pointless. Any idiot with half a brain knows that asking what the scholarship situation is, wasn't going to get an answer from an assistant coach.

So are you saying clonedude only had a third of a brain?

And he might have been asked that question. What are you failing to grasp here?

Ha! Draw your own conclusions :)

I want to know as much as anyone who is or isn't going to be on the team next year, but for whatever reason we don't know yet. I'm guessing that in probably a month or two we'll know who is or isn't going to be on the team.

And he might have been asked that question. What are you failing to grasp here?

Correct. He might have been asked the question. And I've already said that he probably was. And no, I don't need CW to tell me if he asked it or not.

ALL I said was that the question had to be asked. I was not expecting an answer, and I'm sure CW wasn't either, but it still doesn't change the fact that it had to be asked IMO.

The point isn't necessarily the answer. It's doing your due diligence. If he asked and the answer was "no comment" then fine. Whether he asked or not, no one but him and MA know. The original point was that it is a question that should be asked. And it is a valid point.

So you wanted it to be asked, but didn't need the answer? What difference does it make if it gets asked if you don't get the answer?

Makes sense? Why question Cw then? And yes in your original rant you came off as saying CW should come forth with answers to appease you.

BINGO! Hey, someone on here gets it.

I said that the question had to be asked. I never said I expected an answer.

I guess that's the difference between the way you took it, and what I really meant. I've only said all along that the question had to be asked.

The fact that nearly everyone read it differently than you supposedly meant it should tell you something; you came across as a total asshat to CW in your post.

Could you stop trying to think then?

Why? What does that have to do with anything?

Who were the ones in this thread reading something into my posts that wasn't there? I said that any responsible journalist HAS to ask the question where the open scholarship came from. That's it.

Everyone else was somehow thinking that I was demanding an answer or something?

It's like when Obama holds a press conference after this IRS thing brewed up. It would be irresponsible journalism to not ask him a question about what he knew about it. You know you're probably not going to get any kind of answer, but you still HAVE to ask the question.
