DeAndre Kane visiting next week

Assuming Kane does not come here (and I don't think he will) I'm predicting:
PG: Monte (Bubu is not a starting Big 12 caliber PG)
SG: Matt
SF: Sherron (He's got the height, and I think he deserves to start.)
PF: Melvin
C: Niang

That might be the best talent available, but Hoiberg want Mel and Georges moved up a spot, but I'm not so sure Richard or Percy could be the 5 that he wants. At this point we just don't know so like State43 said, this season is going to be fun. IMO, the best one yet under CFH.

Why does SDW deserve to start?

It is not Hoiberg's way. The only thing Hoiberg did that was his "way" was to rebuild a roster with transfers. Taking 1-2 transfers a year isn't new and isn't limited to Hoiberg. It is the standard. LOTS of programs and coaches have been doing it. EVERYONE would pluck a talented transfer to round out a lineup if they could. The difference is now we are a destination where talented transfers want to go.

Stop the narrative where this is some new invention by Hoiberg. Neither truthful, nor fair.

SDW is a lot more talented than most people such as yourself understand. He had offers from Baylor, Indiana, and Michigan who wanted him to come as a point guard which shows his versatility.His only reason for redshirting was because he needed to bulk up and he has done that. Put on 25 pounds if I remember right. He will be crucial if we're going to make it to the tourney this year.

What about taking 7 in 2 years? is that pretty standard? Find me even 3 more D1 programs with that level of transfer activity.
 
SDW is going to be good but he needs seasoning per guys who would actually know, like Travis Hines.

The only people that deserve to start are the ones that give us the best chance to win.

What about going from cellar-dwellar to back-to-back NCAA tournament wins in 3 years? Is that pretty standard? Find me even 3 more d1 programs with that level of jump in success.

Unless I am wrong (and admittedly I could be), but if Hoiberg take us to the tourney again this year it will be only the third time in school history we've gone three straight seasons. As such, if Hoiberg wants Kane, so do I. Arguing about us having too many transfers is ridiculous. We need all the talent we can get when we play KU twice/three times a year...

Like I said, he took a lot to rebuild the roster. That was a different approach and was also 3 years ago (they sat out a year). How many times do you think he will do that again?

Two years ago he took 2 transfers in Clyburn & Lucious. This year he has Nadar from N. Illinois. That is 1. Think we could find teams that have taken 3 transfers in 2 years? (Psst: Illinois took 2 last year and has 3 from this year. That is more than us. Took me all of about 5 minutes to find.)

Edit:
Quick search tells me that K-State and Kansas both have signed two transfers this year. Those BASTARDS!
