No way would the Bulls trade Boozer, Butler, Mirotic, and the Charlotte pick.
I could see Boozer, Deng, and Mirotic. Or Boozer and the Charlotte pick.
Think Butler is untouchable at this point.

Butler isn't untouchable, but he is worth too much for that trade. I could see Mitotic, Charlotte pick and Boozer. I am not sure Minnesota could take on both the Deng and Boozer contracts. (I don't know the league rules, but that is trading nearly $30mil in 2 contracts for less than $15mil in Love, and Minnesota doesn't have any other large contracts to give up.)

But this past season he played through everything until he got a serious illness. He's one of the best defenders in the league. Do we know Love can play Defense or is he another boozer.

KLove is a rebounding machine, a great 3pt shooter, a solid offensive post player, has good vision for a PF, but his defense is suspect. He is also only 24 years old.

I think Minnesota could do a lot better than Boozer, Deng and Mirotic, so the Bulls really need to decide if keeping Butler is worth losing out on Love. Love, Noah, and Gibson could just pound Miami on the boards.

Do the people of Iowa like Barnes?

I don't.

I'm over it. He wouldn't have really done anything special at ISU in my opinion, anyway. Just wasn't a great college player, but he looks like a guy that's going to be a solid starter in the NBA for a long, long, time. I'm cheering for him as long as he's on teams I like.

But at this point I don't know if they will get a better offer. Teams aren't going to risk a trade for a player that may not resign with them. Love would make perfect sense in Chicago I think he would sign long term right away. Can only think of a few other teams that have a similar situation.

I have heard rumors that LA could try and trade Pau Gasol for Kevin Love. I would think Minnesota would like to see Rubio and Gasol together, but apart from that I don't know if it is worth it, or more valuable than a probable lottery pick, a high quality PF prospect in Mirotic, and Boozer's bad but short contract.

Duncan likely retires. Pretty sure he was set to retire last year and then changed his mind for one more run. Manu's contract is up this year. With his inconsistent play this post season I don't think the Spurs are going to have him back. Parker and Pop will likely be there and they will probably try to reload. Pau Gasol would be a great fit if the Lakers let him go.

I don't recall reading or hearing anything about that. Matter of fact, Duncan took a hefty pay cut after last season to give the Spurs some cap flexibility. It was a three year deal with a player opt out clause after the 2013 season and next season. So maybe he retires, but a guy who willingly leaves money on the table to keep a good team around him doesn't sound like a guy who's ready to hang it up yet.

As a lakers fan, I will gladly give up Gasol for Love. I think Gasol is great but at this point, id trade him in a heartbeat for his brother. Something has to change in LA obviously and not Kobe.

I think you're either really overrating the value of Boozer or really underrating the value of Love. Boozer isn't a reason to make a trade for Minnesota, he's the cost that comes along with getting what they really want.

If you want to get one of the ten best players in the league, you've got to be willing to give up something of value.

Love should go to Miami

The trade that makes the most sense that will never happen is Blake Griffin for Kevin Love. Minnesota gets a guy who can leap out of the gym to pair with Rubio which would move lob city to the midwest. The Clippers get a guy who can space the floor better for Paul and also gives the Clips another crunch time scorer that they really need.

Harrison Barnes will be the best player on the Warriors come next year. I know Curry is the sexy name and the ridiculous shooter, but he's small, injury prone, and when cold he doesn't do anything else to help the team.

Barnes is a great defender already, rebounds well, and can get his shot against anyone. The kid will be an all star in 2-3 years.

Had HB gone to the hawks that would be a different story. Imagine what could of been in Fred was at ISU when Barnes was coming out of high school.

Had HB committed to ISU, CFH most likely would not be our coach right now. Cue Garth Brooks' "Unanswered Prayers."

You're right, I like Deng, I'd rather see Boozer go. Boozer would fit in just fine if he could bring his game every night. The thing is that its tough to judge either of these guys based on this year, playing without Rose. Both guys are good players but by no means meant to carry the superstar load. They had to this year and did it well enough to get to the 2nd round, you've got to respect that but I'd be really surprised if both are still Bulls next year.
