NBA: *** NBA Playoffs Thread V2.0 ***

Tough loss for the Bulls. Must win game 4 on Monday. I hope Hinrich or Deng can come back with the extra day off, but at this point it doesn't sound likely.

The officiating down the stretch was poor and it favored Miami, but Miami made shots down the stretch and Chicago didn't, and that is why they lost. Not because of the officials lackluster performance.

(Though seriously, LeBron didn't commit a foul? Not one? I don't believe it.)

I'm glad Miami went into NBA Jam "He's on Fire" mode because until the last 3-4 minutes the 4th quarter was looking like screw job territory with touch fouls on one end and no calls on the other. I think Miami missed one meaningful shot in the final four minutes. I don't know if the Bulls are finally tired or it was foul trouble, but the lane opened up more than usual in addition to the 3s all going down. LeBron's one 3 from BEHIND the backboard was sick, the TV announcers must not have had a good view of it because that was the shot of the night and they weren't that enthused.

Not Playoff related, but the Sacramento Kings owners, the Maloofs are sleazy bastards. They are refusing to sell the team to any Sacramento based buyer and are willing to sell a 20% stake in the Kings to a Seattle group to keep the team running. If the city of Sacramento has the money to keep the team and is willing to renovate the stadium, the city deserves to keep the team. The Maloofs might be one of the worst owners in the NBA.

Can't believe the Bulls were beaten by Norris "****ing" Cole. Deng won't be back THIS SEASON and shouldn't be. If we retain most of this roster and are healthy Bulls will be scaring next year.

I disagree. Sacramento is a joke, its like Jacksonville having an NFL team. Move the team to Seattle...a city that once had a popular NBA franchise.

Why won't Deng be back? He's been banged up this year and been in the hospital for part of the playoffs. It's not like he's been physically cleared to play for 2 months like Rose has. The Bulls are 1 impact SG away from contending with the core they have now. The fact that the Bulls are even giving the Heat a challenge right now says a ton for the roster they have and Coach Thibs being able to get the most of what he has. I will hate to see Nate Robinson leave but he has played so well this season I don't see how the Bulls will have any cap room to keep him when some team will offer him a better contract.

The Kings were just as good as Seattle for a short period. They probably should have won a title but they were ****ed hard by the refs. The Maloofs don't care about winning. It's been shown. That's not to say a team in Seattle isn't better but comparing to Jacksonville is a but of a stretch IMO.

I meant this season. He's lost 15 lbs and still is not well. Boozer and Rip should be gone.

Boozer was solid this season. Averaged 16 and 10, good enough for top ten in rebounding this season. I am fine with the bulls keeping Boozer next year.

Rip is probably gone, as his contract isn't guaranteed next season, and he is not worth the $5 mil, I expect him to retire, or sign for the minimum elsewhere.

True, but he was needed because we were shorthanded without rose. Fact is that he gets in foul trouble WAY too much and still can't play defense to save his life. Teams have so long to use the amnesty clause and don't want Chicago to blow the chance to use theirs.

''I don't need to flop,'' James said. ''I play an aggressive game. I don't flop. I've never been one of those guys.''

What a ****ing liar.

Yeah, there was a run in the early 2000s I think with Webber, Stojakovich, Divac and Mike Bibby. They just couldn't get over the hump against the Lakers, including one ridiculous game six where the Lakers got Every. Single. Call. It's an all time officiating travesty.
It's a tangent, but Jacksonville isn't quite as bad an NFL city as it's portrayed in the media. They haven't had a home game blacked out locally in three years, although they have had to use some smoke and mirrors to make that claim by covering some seating areas with a tarp. They're not exactly the COwboys or or Packers when it comes to fan support, but there are teams out there in worse shape from an attendance and interest standpoint.

Wow, I hate to use this word but the butthurt in here is unbelievable. Is this what I'm like during Iowa State games?

Miami is better than Chicago and the officiating isn't changing anything in these games.

Uh-oh, someone's in for a world of cyber hurt. Lots of justifiably frustrated Bulls fans out there. That team is battling but their luck has been beyond terrible this year. It wouldn't matter if the refs are doing a credible job or not (and I'm not leaning either way); they're just a natural target to lash out at for a ****** off fanbase that can't catch a break.

I think in a fairly officiated game game 3 comes down to the last few possessions and is anyone's game.

Bull's fans are justified in being bummed that their players have gotten hurt but I don't think a healthy bulls team would be this Heat team, the games would just look different.

With a healthy D-Rose and Luol Deng, I think the Bulls would have a 50-50 chance this series. Dwyane Wade doesn't seem to be his usual dominating self this time around.
