NBA: *** NBA Playoffs Thread V2.0 ***

Also, for the newly departed CyJack, Bill Simmons just called Spoelstra one of the four best coaches in the NBA in his most recent column.

Just read the last few pages..was CyJack banned for his use of "brah"? If so, I fully support the decision to ban for that reason..

respectfully disagree. Cyclone Fanatic needs more posters who:
1. Are actually Hawkeye fans with "Cy" in their user name
2. Are Miami Heat fans who deny it for some odd reason
3. Say "brah" all the time

Not sure if I can stay around longer if I don't get to talk to high caliber individuals like that anymore.

Durant was amazing at the end of the game today. And the Pacers pounded the Knicks. It will be interesting to see how that series is officiated, because they let them play in game 1.

I was really amused by how high everyone was on Knicks and Nets going into the playoffs, it's like nobody had watched any NBA for the past decade including 'experts' who are paid to do so. Playoff fortunes of a franchise rarely take a drastic sharp turn in just one season.

Any team that has melo on it will never win a championship unless he does the Lebron thing and team up with other super stars.

Simply looking at the deals they've made the past 15 years, I'd say wearing a jersey with the letters K-N-I-C-K-S on it means you will never win a championship. During the Bulls worst stretch of horrible basketball, the one thing we could count on was the Knicks taking every horrible overpaid nutjob off our hands once Krause was gone, as bad as Chicago was back then, NYN were somehow thrilled to give money to our mentally disturbed castoffs. Things have obviously improved some, but I was skeptical all season that this was a strong playoff team.

+ Durant needs to quit trash talking.
+ For a brief, flirting moment, up until today I thought the Knicks could take the Heat

I was surprised that the Knicks were as heavily favored as they were going into the series. Carmelo's a great player but when you compound his recent shooting slump with his bad shoulder, he's going to have a tough time of it against the Pacers' physical defense. As long as they don't go in the tank offensively (and don't rule it out), Indy could have this thing wrapped up in five or six. It's a shame they just can't get their fanbase behind them. The franchise never has fully recovered from the Malice in the Palace in terms of local fan support.

While he is funny, half the time Sports Guy doesn't know what the **** he's talking about either.

Maybe he doesn't on this Spoelstra stuff but the facts and memories he will pull out sometimes in regard to the NBA is ridiculous. Also, his book is great. The parts about Wilt and Kareem are the best with the Isiah stuff following close behind.

I still think the Knicks will beat Indy in this series. Indy has had a terrible offense all year, and the Knicks are a great shooting team at times, so they have the ability to win any game. But the biggest thing is this is the NBA, and there is no way each game will be called the same as the first game.

1 hour and change till the beat down of the Bulls begins.

Hey D-Rose in the words of Stifler from American Pie "D-Rose, why don't you locate your d**k, remove the shrink wrap, and ****ing *use* it!"

Chicago may steal a game or two, but that's it. Would be a much better series if there were not any injuries for either team.
