He wasn't even feeling bad for himself. He feels like he let down the seniors. That's why he apologized for Craft making the last shot. For them.
Niang has his head screwed on straight.
He is going to deserve all the success ISU is going to have in the next three years. I feel bad that Booker, Clyburn, McGee, Babb, Lucious, McBeth won't get to share in it on the court. But they will have contributed to it, when they understand how much they matter to GN's play going forward. He's gonna be a monster. For those guys.

Niang needed a hug there it looked like. Him and Melvin are going to work harder than ever this off-season and lead this team back next year. May be a long road ahead, but out of any 2 players on this years squad that I want to return next year to rebuild, it is those 2. Heart, talent, and effort are not lacking.
Man that's up there with the jake knott interview. Its simply outstanding how much cyclone fans embraced this kid and how he always loves us and his school. He will be a cornerstone for this program in his next 2-3 years
Winner. he (and this whole team) have been stabbed in the heart late in games so many times this year by bad refs, bad bounces, etc.
I have no doubt about his work ethic and how hard he will hit the weights and gym this offseason. Niang is an absolute AMAZING find by Hoiberg and I expect him and Ejim to be the front and center leaders of this team next year. CyclONE NATION Rise Up!

Gives me some perspective here. As fans we need to calm down on these kids. Its just a game. Love Georges emotion, hope he uses this as motivation.
You could not ask for a better person, much less freshman, to have on a college basketball team.
It's been a privilege to watch this young man grow with this team.

I couldn't be prouder of Georges at this point. It will be wonderful to watch him dominate games next season from my season ticket seats.

Tough to watch. We all feel his pain. Proud of every player on this team. Best wishes to those leaving us.
You guys got ****ed. I would give up a lot of current Hawkeye players to have Niang playing for Iowa. He's an incredible talent, and seems like a great guy too.

Georges was absolutely right in how he played that. You cannot let that kid drive by you. Of the shot options to give up, that was the one we wanted.
I fully expect ISU to win in Ames. It's exciting to see both teams becoming successful again.. And yes, I realize you guys are at a different level than Iowa right now.. But believe me, us Eastern Iowans will take what we can get at this point after the Lickliter era.
I think this will be a series when the home team wins most of the time, and if someone was going to win in the other teams gym I expect it to be ISU in Carver more than Iowa in Hilton.
