Oklahoma St. vs. Iowa State

Game will start tonight, Monday, at 7:00 and Cyclone tv will carry the game. We got beat the previous game and played one of our poorest regular season games there, and now it is time for revenge. I am looking forward to watching the game. I think ISU is going to give a good performance tonight.
 
OSU is a different team in many ways from when we first played them. They too lost to TCU on the road. They've been a mysterious Jeckyl-Hyde type of team losing to teams like TCU and KSU while beating OU. They've split with nearly everyone in the conference (losing both to TTech and Baylor). Of particular interest is how they score nearly 20 points per game (gasp!) less on the road than at home. We know what they are capable of and our team needs to show up tonight. We are playing for the #2 seed. Getting #2 means we would play the winner of the 7-10 game which is currently Kansas-TCU. Getting #3 means we would play a fresh West Virginia team. That prospect isn't appealing as I suspect their coach would employ the same beat us up strategy as last time. If the standings hold the path to the championship is a good one. Probably play KU in round one followed by (more than likely) Texas Tech in semis. That is as good as we could hope for.
 
Time to you say goodbye already? This thread is a poignant reminder, tonight is the last regular appearance of three seniors we have all come to know. I wish I could say thanks to these three personally, but this may be the best I do.

Anna came in with high expectations and seemed never to meet them until late. But it was worth the wait seeing her muscle in, shoot and work for rebounds now. Anna's reserved nature was happily tested when we partook of a Hilton First seeing her accepting a marriage proposal on court.

Z committed to Iowa State waaaaay back there and contributed in many ways, mostly off court, and added to the chemistry of the team. Not seeing her on the bench will be an interesting change.

POP! My kids would laugh at me as I watched ISU WWB. I'd come to life yelling "Pop" when Chelsea would end a drive with a score and then shoot the foul in her quirky style. With me saying more than once "Pop is a monster" so my kid started asking humorously if "Popmonster" was playing today. I never saw what Bill saw in her until well into the second season when she came into her own and made us proud coming to Iowa State along with Z as Iowa kids.

Hilton will yield to another team with new faces next season. But I will never forget Anna, Z and Pop. I saw this season as a big one where we would at some point be in the national top ten. It never happened. But we have the post season to see what we can do. First let us take of OKie State- this has been a game I have wanted since we lost to them big. Let's go out with a POP!

Wow, thanks for the reminder, I had totally spaced off that the game was tonight! :shocked:
 
We definitely got it handed to us in Stillwater but if I remember correctly their poor sport coach in my view put his starters back in when Fennelly put our reserves in the last couple minutes of the game. I believe coach commented on that briefly during his post game interview. I bet he hasn't forgotten that and I hope the women haven't either. Hoping for a huge win tonight........
 
We need to start this game with great intensity and sustain it. I will really miss these seniors. I have enjoyed watching them interviewed over the years and even more, watching them play.

Looking like the team that lost to TCU. Can't shoot the 3 and can't deal with the rough play. Hope we come out of halftime with something to change that up some.
 
First time listenjng to isu women on radio. This is comical. Old geezers in background are amazingly funny. Travel! Over the back! Get her off!
