Terry Branstad has not come out and told us that we don't need to worry about an invasion from the country of Burundi. If there was nothing to be concerned about, why doesn't he come out and notify us? His silence is deafening!
I am not freaking out or think he will bolt, but coaches come and go. With Rhoads it is different because he is so loved in Cyclone Nation and has won us over and if big if left, hearts would be broken.

you can nominate it, but that's a tough category to win. Up against the sheer might of Clones21 and the deft subtlety of nallen, not to mention Marisa Tomei.
What if the tweet was incorrect and he doesn't even know some dude tweeted a one liner that is making Cyclone fans uneasy? Why would he say something if he doesn't know this little tweet even exists?
ESPN always comes up with their own list of potential coaches of interest for HC openings. That doesn't mean that CPR is interested or that Wisconsin has spoken with him or Pollard. I don't expect CPR to have a press conference to say he's not going anywhere unless he's been approached and turned down the offer. If he held a press conference every time his name came up in these conversations, that's all he'd be doing. He's also not going to come out and tell everyone that's he's here for life. That's just not reality. Relax. Paul is nowhere near being done here.
Clones21 - as always, i truly hope your right. I've never been so pumped about this program, he is doin it the old fashion way, he's building a program to endure.....love it love it love it....
That said, I hope that CPR also sees that he is revered as a god in Ames...if he continues to improve, there is little doubt in any of our minds that we will hit that program corner and he will succeed at getting us to an 8-10 win season...i truly believe thats the direction he's headed. The fans have circled the wagons on him, "If you build it, they will come"....the new building is having a quick result on the recruiting front...

On the Wisky boards that multiple individuals with sources inside the program have said the HC selection has been made and will be announced later this week or next and it will be Joe Rudolph the OC at Pittsburgh and former coach and player at wisconsin.
Nothing more then a name and rumors, but, I like that its not CPR....
