I think the ACC tries to not just replace Maryland but to be the 1st conf to 16 by going after UCONN, Louisville, and another Big East school (probably Cincy). But while they do this, I bet every current ACC school is seeing what options it has for leaving the ACC for anything better ASAP.

Fat chance. Cincy to the ACC is laughable.

This is about football what does any of those schools add for the football cache of the ACC? And limited to no markets. This is why I believe the Big 12 will go after FSU this time. I think Maryland opened a huge door and they can fight the 50 mil buyout since they voted against it.

I really think FSU is in the bag here. I didnt believe it for a second in August but I do now, Big 12 did not want to be "that league".

Florida has always been against Miami or FSU joining the SEC which is one thing the B12 has going for it.

What did Syracuse add for their Football Cache? ACC preemptively went to 14 because they were making a preemptive strike. Why not go to 16, and see if you can hold. Not sure if it will work, but worth a try.

I agree. Wouldnt surprise me if Plank sold that stock to put up a guarantee that it will not be a problem either way though
