Rushing the Field

I don't think we should, just like I didn't think we should rush the court after beating Baylor in BB. However, if enough people decide to do it, we better go all in and make it look good.

I think the Baylor game in BB was a little different because to me it felt like we did turn the corner in that game. I felt that the people rushing the court were doing it for more than just beating Baylor that day. Baylor was a talented team who we could beat, but that was the game that the fans showed up in droves to cheer on the cyclones and Hilton was rocking.

We were favored to win...

We would definitely rush the field. we won't just rush the field because we beat k state, we will rush it because we will enter the top 25 in the AP poll for the first time in 7 years!

Probably, I was a little dumbfounded when NC State didn't rush the field after they had beat FSU. That seemed like the perfect time to rush the field.

As many have mentioned on here, it's quite a jump to the field from the stands. However, as if that wasn't enough, there were probably 100 cops with mace surrounding the field. Everyone that tried was tackled and immediately arrested.

Thing is, we are ranked. Does the #25 team often rush after beating the #5 team for nothing more than another conference victory (no championship at stake)??

I say no, but I'm pretty sure it will happen if by the grace of God we can win

In 1998, #1 Kansas state rushed the field after beating #10 Nebraska.

They hadn't beaten them in 29 years, however.

I feel like there was something special about that night..Senior night, Scott kissing the court, Hilton Magic in the air, and a near guarantee for an NCAA bid..It was more than just beating Baylor.

For those complaining about lack of respect (and I'm one), rushing the field may not be the best remedy. That said, I'm not sure in this game. On one hand, it would be a huge program win. On the other hand, we are #25, so we should go into this game believing we can win (and I do).

2001-The last time Nebraska beat a Top 5 team. you won't get any chances to this year
Wins over ranked teams since 2010 - Nebraska 4 - same as Iowa State, Nebraska won't get any more opportunities this year.
Road wins over ranked teams since 2010 - Nebraska 2 - one less than ISU.

nebraska - not relevant in football since 62-36 on November 23, 2001. The day Nebraska football died.

Thanks for jinxing it. We're probably going to lose by 2 because we missed a field goal... all because this thread jinxed it.

We beat OU, no matter what they are ranked when we play them...

I am going to rush the field.

KState? Not sure. Depends on how the game plays out. Right now I would say no, it is the purple kitties we are talking about...

Nebraska football was put on life support in 2001. It died on September 29, 2002, the day it was taken out of the top 25 for the first time in 21 years and a day after this: Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Iowa State Cyclones - Recap - September 28, 2002 - ESPN.

I know, running up the score on us. Urban Meyer has no class.

Wow, because Tom Osborne never ran up on the score on anybody.....

After catching up on posts I've missed over the weekend, don't you seriously have anything better to do than troll an ISU board? Join your fellow Husker fans in the meltdown somewhere else.
