Iowa State and Texas Tech Respect

I'll give them plenty of respect. This would be a solid win for us, not only for the fact that we'd be 4-0 and 1-0 in conference, but that we beat a solid team.
I'm guessing multiple tools. Quick! Everyone start ordering pizzas to random addresses across Texas. That way they'll be too busy delivering pizzas to be trolling our board.
No. Sagarin currently gives a 2.42 pt advantage to the home team. I know it seems low, and Vegas typically gives ~3. :wink:
I know, I just wanted to give an extra .5 point, because I know how tough Jack Trice can be.

I've already stated multiple times that I really like and respect CPR, and the way he goes about his business. I've also said that ISU just came in and whipped us last year. We were outplayed, outcoached, and out manned.
I think the game comes down to the turnover battle and we're going to have to work hard to win.
I've yet to see a single cyclone on here say a single nice thing about Tech, Lubbock, Tuberville or our team. The vast majority of what I've seen on here is just that Tech hasn't played anyone, we slaughtered them last season and we should win at our giant loud stadium on Saturday.
Our fan base has been really complimentary of Rhoads and the majority of them respect the way Iowa State is trying to build up their program. From my view(admittedly bias) the respect factor has been very one sided, granted this is your board and our board has a different slant. Although, I will say Rhoads was very complimentary and respectful of Tech and their current team in a radio interview today.

I think that there would be a lot more respect towards you guys if some of your fans weren't idiots. Granted we probably have just as big of idiots, but I don't think ours are on your site. Most people actually think it will be a hard-fought, close game this year. But the people who end up arguing with your fans get much more enjoyment saying that we will crush you guys
Like I said, this is your board so I completely understand the slanted views. Tech boards have slanted views, and RaiderPower definitely represents our fringe extreme element. I don't know the culture of this Iowa State board, but our rivals.com board redraidersports is a much different element of our fan base and they have a whole thread over there talking about how great Rhoads is.
The internet in general usually brings out the extreme's from fan bases. I never expected to come here and have Cyclone fans lay down and act like Tech will destroy them. It's sports, it should involve passion and banter, you should expect your team to win.
And I've never been to Lubbock, so I can't say anything nice about it, but Tubberville will get the program to top Leach height eventually, and I am truly scared about the game on Saturday
